Chuck Harder loses his radio station

Well, not actually a radio station – Chuck controlled a Construction Permit to build a radio station – WJFA-AM in Florida.    WJFA-AM would have been a 50 kW station (4kW at night) on 830 kHz.   To get such a strong station, it had to be directional – requiring Harder to build 6 AM towers – a very expensive proposition, especially for a lower frequency that requires taller towers.   The pattern was pointing to the SouthEast, toward Jacksonville.

After the FCC gives you the permit, you have 3 years to get it on the air using the configuration you applied for.   The CP was issued in January 2006 and expired in January 2009.  Harder filed an application to try to transfer the license to his own name, which the FCC rejected.   When the FCC published the public notice that the permit had expired in December 2009,   Harder appealed – apparently thinking the FCC rejection of his transfer didn’t really mean it was rejected and had expired.

Harder didn’t build the station – he tried to get an extra 18 months by transferring it to himself as a “small business” owner.      Harder appealed to the FCC on the basis that he is in poor health and can’t borrow the money to build it and he ws only 3 hours late in filing to request to transfer the license after all.   (He needed to file the transfer in time for the FCC to consider it, not the day it expired)

The FCC ruled against Harder (no surprise, since they are controlled by the New World Order, blah blah).  The FCC will now  officially delete WJFA according to the Tom Taylor newsletter.   The Court of Appeals ruling ending the 18 month extension to build a station gave the FCC the green light to just dump the entire thing and wash their hands of it.

For those who don’t know, Chuck Harder was the Alex Jones of his time about 20 years ago –  he was very close to the H Ross Perot campaign in 1992 and a passionate Clinton haiter, despite being a lifelong “Union Democrat”  (he hated Georgw HW Bush even more).   He was on a pretty large network of radio station affilaites – mostly small town AM stations that needed free programming and didn’t much care what he said.

Chuck Harder was the foundation of my own political worldview, and it saddens me how badly he has suffered over the years. I believe as he has stated: the Clintons took him and his network down. The tough part is is that today radio Amercia needs commentators like Chuck desperately. Call him a nationalist-patriot if you will, and I will stand beside him proudly and call him a friend, a fellow patriot, and a radio pioneer. Chuck was wildly popular in the late 80’s to the mid 90’s, even ranking as the 5th most listened to radio personality at one time (Talkers Magazine). For The People was the mainstay of my radio day, and every bit of it was believeable…to the point that those on the “official right” (Limbaugh) then seemed like “politically correct conservativism” (and still do). Chuck’s politics scanned across the entire spectrum, and centered on our nationhood, hence “Fix American First.” That Alex Jones is now so popular is no surprise now that fate, and the “insiders”, have turned against him. The last of Chuck’s show I caught on the Web, the poor man could barely speak, he was that weak. To Chuck’s critics I reply that he always had our country’s well-being at heart. As far as the gross corruption of the Clinton’s and Bush’s are concerned…guess what…Chuck was right. God bless Chuck Harder – he may not be long for this world, but if righteousness and hope for America have their just rewards, Chuck Harder eternal soul already shines brightly.
