Saint Louis vs Texas

For all sports fans (not!) out there, and you know who you are…

It’s down to just two teams now.   For the next 2 weeks, you still need to ask yourself “Is this stream broken? or Why am I hearing Clark Howard?” only for affiliates of the Cardinals and the Rangers.    ESPN(tm) owns the radio rights to the MLB ™ World Series(tm), and the only other radio stations that can carry the games (on the air) are the regular season affiliates of the teams still alive in the World Series(tm).

That being said, I’m going to remove the block on people changing shows, but I’m leaning about 80/20 to turning it off completely unless I find ways to make it less disruptive.   Once a person changes a schedule item, other people coming behind them can create a bigger and bigger mess if I haven’t “fixed the fix” soon enough.  I’m leaning toward giving people the ability to temporarily “suppress” a schedule item to get it off the schedule, but not “fix” it.

Tonight is also Monday Night Football – carried by Westwood One.   Like Baseball, stations are not allowed to stream the games – so when you see a station is carrying Monday Night Football, don’t expect to hear football – expect the stream to be down, silent or a rerun of Dave Ramsey.

Because the syndicated “game of the week” type shows are not tied to a specific team, I’m reworking the entire way things are organized.  I hope it will result in less confusion, but that’s a tall order.
