Libya to world: Give us our $160 billion

Qaddafi is dead, the “revolution” is over,  the UN has recognized the National Transition Council as the sole legitimate government of Libya, the sanctions have been lifted – but the European governments and the banks they control refuse to turn over control of the money to the control of the Libyan government.

I’m shocked, I tell you.    The banks of Europe are on the verge of collapse and the real dollars Libya put into their banks are probably all that is keeping the banks from failing – especially if those banks are investing the money in things like Greek sovereign debt.

Saif al Islam – Muamar Ghadaffi’s son – the one who managed the $70 billion Libyan sovereign fund was just recently caught.   He knows where the money is (or was).  Once the European real motives for rushing to “liberate” Libya is clear, the government of New Libya will be begging Saif to help them get Libya’s money back – unless of course the World Court expedites his trial for “war crimes” and he accidentally dies in prison awaiting “trial”

One Response to Libya to world: Give us our $160 billion

  1. Art Stone says:

In related news, the Libyan National Oil Company has announced that the oil production in 2012 will be sold oil to the countries that supported the “liberation” of the country

The oil will be priced about $1.50 above the price of Brent Crude (around $110 a barrel)
