If you listened to Mike Huckabee and have a sense of how talk radio works, his “callers” were very suspicious sounding. You know those infomercials where callers call in without the phone number to call in having been mentioned? *wink*
It turns out “Mike From San Francisco” – the only caller at the end of the first hour, was Mike McVay, Senior VP of Programming for Cumulus Media.

Someone got some ‘splaining to do, real fast.
The caller in the second hour I heard later in the evening and it also seemed staged – the guest wrote a book on bullying, the phone # was said right before the break, and after 2 minutes like magic there was a caller on the line whose son had died in 1998 from bullying (so she said) and told her well rehearsed story. You won’t convince me that wasn’t arranged by the book’s publicist.
I’m not let convinced the show is even live – but may be a series of prerecorded segments.

Caller on Wednesday was a “seminar” calling staying he Loves Huckabee even though he’s a liberal. He purported to be from Charlotte NC and asked a softball question about whether we really should be spending more money on the military. I can’t find any evidence that the show is heard live in Charlotte NC (not on WBT or WBCN (CBS), the two obvious stations). Cumulus and Huckabee.com do not offer a network stream – so he couldn’t have been listening that way. His question was unrelated to any topic on the show other than John Bolton was showing up on yet another “conservative” radio show demanding that Barack Obama immediately start bombing Iran to Protect Israel
The caller could have been listening on WLFJ-AM from Greenville South Carolina, although it would be in the fringe area

It’s an odd station that it is a Christian Talk station owned by Clear Channel (very likely Clear Channel is leasing the station)
