The Black Communisty of Ansonia, centered mostly in a public housing project spilled its drug related violence onto the streets of Derby at 2 AM at a fairly recently opened party store (which had been an empty gasoline station for at least 15 years despite there being a “blight” ordinance and only being a block from city hall)
So a young black man named Zimmerman (a little irony there) is shot and killed. The police are always patrolling that neighborhood because of drugs) and are right there. 50 people are there milling around. When the (probably white) police officer shows up and asks what happened, nobody saw anything. The rules of the black communisty are you never tell The Man anything. The Comministy will solve its own problem with its own Justice, so likely in a few days another body will be found somewhere.
And so it goes.
Imagine if someday the White Communisty adopted a similar code of silènce.

Zimmerman Update
They’ve rounded up the man they think shot Javon Zimmerman at 2 AM outside a bar as it was closing. The man who did the shooting had been threatening people on facebook for not giving him respect for doing jail time. He has been in custody already on unrelated charges.
The family hopes for justice, but also is clearly not going out of their way to be helpful to police. The police in Ansonia (the next town up the river) indicate Javon Zimmerman was active in the narcotics business in their town and was under active investigation and a few weeks later, the Ansonia police busted the drug group he was a part of.
Now the truth leaks out

The man who killed young Mr Zimmerman was a confidential informant (“snitch”) for the Ansonia Police Department. The entire Zimmerman drug gang was arrested a few days later.
