This message serves little or no purpose – because the people who will pelt me with “Why has your site been down for 3 days!!!????” are the ones who never read the blog, and they can’t read the blog when the site is down.
I’ve clicked the “I agree” button to have my “stuff” moved to Chicago the week of the August 20th, with me racing the moving truck in my car carrying the computers running the web site. So barring a change in plans, I expect the site to be down for at least 3 days that week. Hopefully, Google doesn’t forget about me 🙂

Did you find a good donut shop yet???
Well I found a place that sells hot dogs and Italisn beef and skirt steak sandwiches and gyros. The cafeteria at work had some interesting looking donuts for breakfast the one time I got to work early.
I’m toying with the idea of leaving the web sever in CT sitting in the empty condo. The risk is that someone viewing the condo could steal it. The whole thing is on a self contained bootable USB drive – the actual computer it runs on doesn’t matter. All that matters is the IP address is connected to it via DNS.
Part of my hedging is not being sure if Comcast might throw a curve ball like IP addresses that change at random times.
