Fiduciary Responsibility

Qadaffi (or more likely his son) is making the point that this business about banks and countries “Freezing” Libyan government assets has the potential to destroy the international banking system in the long run….    Let’s spin a little story…

Bank VP:  Hello, and welcome to the 1st Bank of Geithner
Ms Jones:  Good morning, nice to see you.
Bank VP:  How can I help you today?
Ms Jones:  I’m here to close my bank account.  I would like the money in $100 bills, please
Bank VP:  I’m sorry to hear that.   What is the account number?
Ms Jones:  I’m not sure – but you’ll find it under “Bill Jablonski”
VP:  Uh, so what is your connection with this account?
Ms Jones:  Well, we’re kind of married
VP:  So why isn’t he here to close the account?
Ms Jones:   Well, we kind of had a fight last night
VP:  Okay, I see the account – your name is not on the account as a co-owner of the account.   Would you mind if I call up Mr Jablonski and discuss this with him?
Ms Jones:  I had his phone turned off
VP  I see.   So do you have any legal documents from a court – like a judgement – that says he owes you money?
Ms Jones:  Damn it!  He raped me!  Don’t you understand?
VP:  That has nothing to do with anything.  Do you have an order from a judge that says we should give you his money?
Ms Jones:  He got me pregnant and made me have an abortion!
VP:  You could have said “no”.
Ms Jones: And he smokes pot!
VP:  So do you have any paperwork?
Ms Jones:  So you’re saying rape is OK???? –  Hey everyone, this bank says raping helpless women is OK!!!!   Do you have sex with the tellers in the back room during lunch, too?
VP:   That was uncalled for.   If you have an issue with him, that’s the job of the police and the courts, not this bank.
VP:   So you said you were married – do you at least have a divorce settlement and order?
Ms Jones:  No, I didn’t saw we were married – I said we were sort of married.
VP:   Well, then there is nothing I can do.  It’s his money.
Ms Jones:   You mean I slept with him for all these years for nothing?
VP:   Well, you’re an adult and you made that decision.  It’s none of my business.
Ms Jones:  *sigh*…. without this money, I’m going to have to go back to pole dancing at that strip club….  but I doubt I’ll get the kind of tips I used to get when I as young and pretty.  He’ll kill me if he finds out – do you want that on your conscience?
VP:  Do you need help finding your way to the exit?
Ms Jones:  You’re going to regret this….
VP: Oh?  [presses red button under the desk]

While Saudi Arabia probably wants Qadaffi gone, they’ve got to be looking at this banking freeze thing, and other countries seizing the Libyan assets in their country and wondering  “Could they do this to us tomorrow?   What could we do to stop it?  Why should we keep pumping oil if all that’s going to happen is they steal our money”…..

Keep in mind the Arab world already believes the world is run by the  so-called “Jewish Banking System” – the one that breaks Islamic law by charging interest and paying interest.    They don’t need a lot of motivation to try some other approach.
