They all work for NBC?
I know one thing in common….. Ive never heard of them.
Aren’t they all ESPN?
They’re the three current hosts on NBC Sports Radio, and nobody has ever heard of them. Erik was in my database as having done a show on ESPN on Saturday mornings at some point, Schwartzman I think may have been a local host in Philadelphia.
I’d heard of Erik, used to do PM drive on ESPN. Toomer was an NFL player.
Schwarzmann is a no-name, as is Toomer’s co-host Eytan Shandler. Apparently they were doing satellite radio before NBC came around. (I’d been following the network development so I kind of already knew this beforehand.)
Somehow i see NBC Sports Radio having a very hard time getting off the ground. Not just because of the half-bit and no-name talent (although that doesn’t help), but because it’s Dial Global/Townsquare doing the syndicating to a bunch of stations in the middle of nowhere. Oddly, the one thing they’d have a leg up on — the sports rights they bought with Westwood One– are still branded through CBS!
Alas, as you say… America Loves Sports!™
And CBS Sports Radio is syndicated by Cumulus. This is so confusing.
