If a raped woman gets pregnant, it was God’s will

Riddle me this…

If it is true that when a woman gets pregnant through being raped it is God’s will

doesn’t it also follow that when Planned Parenthood performs an abortion, that is also God’s will.

Either you believe in predestination or you don’t.

Push a pregnant women down some stairs and she looses the baby, you will be charged not only with assault but also with murder. The law says it is a person in that circumstance but it is not a person if aborted. So basically it is the women’s choice and by circumstance. She could not go to jail for aborting your baby. When the law contradicts itself and is split it is no surprise people are to. When that happens, people wanting office use it for votes. Either they play one side or the other. Would people want a person in office saying it is God’s will for our soldiers to die. Sometimes people use God for the wrong reasons, be it murdering infidels, or votes. Your own selfish desires that would lead a person to rape another would not be God’s will. The women who was impregnated through rape should ask God themselves what his will is in that circumstance, not a politician.

  2. Obviously Mourdock was trying to say that God set it up so that egg and sperm make a baby even under adverse circumstances, but it was a comment that was doomed to fail. As talk host Laura Ingraham tweeted today, “Earth to GOP men: When u r asked abt rape & abortion, consider that the interviewer is not your friend & cierra la boca!”

Anyone, be it woman or man in the GOP needs to say NOTHING when asked about rape, abortion, or anything having to do with reproductive matters!!!! IT IS ALWAYS A TRAP!
If they have to say something, they should say, “That has been settled by the SCOTUS. To change the matter it will have to go back to the SCOTUS. You will have to take it up with them.”

      That’s a fact.

The only way that Roe v Wade will be overturned is a constitutional amendment – but you’ll never get a supermajority to pass it. There are too many people alive who have had an abortion, paid for one, helped arrange one – to label them as murderers (which may be true) will alienate them so far that there is no potential for compromise. My “solution” is a “progressive abortion tax” – the richer you are, the higher the “sin tax” when you get an abortion. Progressives will surely support that. The Margret Sanger eugenics people get their idea of encouraging abortion by the poor.

Religious people don’t get what they want, but they do get a cultural admonition. Technology has outrun the law and religion as the morning after pill / ru486 makes it very difficult to even know who is terminating the pregnancy very early.

I bet if you grabbed 1000 people at random and asked them in a few sentences “tell me what the Roe v Wade” decision actually says (the three trimester rule and what states may or may not do in each trimester) – my guess is about 5 out of the 1000 could give a reasonably accurate description, and all of those would be prolife people.
