If you’re one of the people helping with testing, what this means is that most “Educational” stations are going to start going offline. Students are preparing for finals, graduation, or just losing interest.
Unlike commercial stations, college stations are not required to be on the air every day. If school is not in session, they can turn off their transmitter for the summer. Very often, the stations will not appear online until about thanksgiving, when the next year’s class is pretending they are learning how to run a radio station, and create a new web site, set up a different stream, and select a new genre – all of which makes it pointless to track them here. Nobody listens to college radio, even on the campus – let alone around the country.
