CBS Radio has been letting it be known it would like to unload its small market stations once prices look better. One rumor is Cumulus might be interested – ownership caps would prevent a total merger, but CBS owns a lot of smaller market stations that match what Cumulus is doing. That SweetJsck thing must be really taking off.
The likely drastic changed in tax laws may motivate people to do deals to recognize capital gains in this year. Could Clear Channel go public soon?

The company I’m working for was acquired by KK&R about two years ago. All the employees are at a meeting today to find out about their “bonus” or something
Here’s hoping for the ‘bonus’ and not ‘something else’.
I’m not an employee (yet), so my interest is from the outside. The bonus this year will be less than half of last year – something along the lines of 10% of base pay – but many are just glad to have a job
