You are working on New Years Day? Happy New Year!!

    Happy New Year all!

Tantaros replacing Ingraham. I suppose I’m getting old, but the younger folks just don’t resonate for me…except Andy Dean. I was hoping Jed Babbin was getting a place at the table. Should the hosts who supported Mittens (who didn’t want to run…gee, I couldn’t tell) attempt to masquerade as Tea Party Conservative-types? Should the politicians who supported him survive their re-election primaries (Nikki Haley)? I say it’s too late. Jeff Sessions supporting the fiscal cliff bill with its tax-the-rich bend should say it all. Sens Rubio and Paul holding out…for what? 2016? Will there be a Tea Party left by then? Will it matter?

About 80% of Laura Ingraham’s affiliates switched. I’ve found 2 so far that stayed with TRN, and a few have on local people (probably only until their lawyers check their contracts)

There will always be a TEA Party! It just matters how much we want to save this country. Almost beyond saving at this point. Someone with real strength will have to step forward as a strong leader!
I am totally disappointed with Sessions! I would have bet my life he would have voted NO! I would be dead, just like this country.

There WILL always be a TEA party. But how much power do its elected members hold? The mainstream republicans are calling them out on the fiscal cliff holdout. Party favorites like Sessions, Ron Johnson, and Paul Ryan are casting anti-TP votes on the cliff legislation favored by both parties. Freedom Works with no less an icon of mainstream Republicanism than Dick Armey was also in Romney’s camp. Nikki Haley was in the tank for the Severe Conservative who didn’t really want to run for POTUS, and Chris Christie was cheerleading Barry’s bureaucratic and boilerplate response to a hurricane. Palin campaigned for McCain (recall that he referred to the TP as “Hobbits”), and Boehner referred to the TP as “knuckledraggers.” The two Senate possibilities in Indiana and Missouri couldn’t shut their mouths when it came to deus ex machina in rape. The TP lost seats in the house in November.

Yes, the TEA party will always be around. The Green, Pot, and Libertarian parties always snag a few votes. The difference is, those parties have some sort of message. The TP is a group of like-minded Everymen (and Everywomen) who share a common set of principles. They were a powerful force for a little while, and then they got co-opted, infiltrated, and weakened. Now they are pilloried by both sides of the Establishment. Being around does not equal being effective.
