Neal’s last show was on Friday – I hope you heard it. (I didn’t)
Neal is now free to spend all of his time promoting the Fair Tax plan (or is it the flat tax), which basically means no change – other than he isn’t being paid any more to do it.
Herman Cain picks up the baton and will carry on telling us about his 9-9-9 plan – enjoy!
A shame. The first self-proclaimed libertarian leaves for retirement. He was usually entertaining and not often as shrill as some.
Well, we still have Larry Elder out in California, but not in syndication.
Libertarians have a problem in radio and the same reason they are never going anywhere. The political system is set up as “us” vs “them”. When your position is “I refuse to play the game”, then both sides view you as the enemy. You’ll never be more than a fringe movement.
To make a poor analogy – it’s like saying “I want to have the best steak restaurant in Chicago” and then only have vegan foods on the menu. The people who are motivated to make the sacrifices to run for public office (and voters who vote for them) want control of the government in order to do something, not to do nothing… Or even more improbable, start dismembering the government tentacles.
we can always hope, right
