Heritage Foundation: NAFTA was Ronald Reagan’s dream

For the large group of you who voted that to be a True Conservative you had to be a Ronald Reagan supporter and be opposed to NAFTA, it’s time to rethink your ideas…

Unless you think the Heritage Foundation is wrong…

Does this shed any light on why I can’t figure out what the word even means any more?

A Democrat controlled Congress wrote the legislastion and passed NAFTA and it was Bill ‘da Sexual Predator’ Clinton who signed it into law. The evil entities that reside within the Democrat Party screwed-up NAFTA just as they screw-up everything they touch.

So, is being a Ronald Reagan supporter inconsistent with being a conservative and supporter of free trade agreements? Not if the agreements are written and supervised by conservatives.

With regard to everything that has taken place over the past 4 years and what is coming down the pike, what difference does NAFTA make now?

  2. Nidster says:

Apologies for tagging Bill ‘da Sexual Predator’ Clinton with signing the NAFTA legislation because it was George H. ‘da Spook’ Bush who did the dirty deed. I still stand by my criticism of the Democrats, some of whom are in Republican clothing.

You were right the first time. NAFTA was Clinton’s deal. I clearly remember Clinton having to agree to make a personal appearance for a House member on Long Island to “buy” her vote to get it passed in the house and Rush Limbaugh making a big deal out of it.

This is just one of those missed opportunities for Conservatives to create dissent within the Democratic Party coalitions, but they don’t seem to have a stomach for it. Another example would be when people complain about the evil walmart, to point out that Hillary Clinton sat on the Walmart board of directors back in the early days when it was just starting. Without the support of then governor Clinton, walmart probably never would have happened.

Well, I guess that is the ONE thing for which I can thank Bubba! The only one…
