The accident occurred at 4 AM, when an off duty Suburban policeman got on Southbound Lakeshore Drive heading North at 80 MPH, driving at twice the legal limit of alcohol. His SUV eventually plowed into a vehicle carrying ethnic minorities and killing two college students.
You haven’t heard about this? It’s not national news? Why not?
The local ABC and CBS TV stations decided to crop the picture of the officer to remove the badge and visual cues that he is a policemn.

Gobs of Russian loot was deposited in Cyprus banks. Putin is not a happy camper and has laid down a marker. Throw in POTUS’s visit, the Syrian, Egyptian, Saudi and a host of other angles as well as the other STHF stuff going on and the situation could, as you said, happen fast.
I saw a blurb that Russia might “rescue” Cyprus if they turn over the deed to those natural gas fields. I saw $87 billion as a number of the Russian money in the Cyprus banks. I have a memory that Russian tourism has long been big business in Cyprus.
I think he was asking for the right to develop the gas fields, not an outright sale. Putin would love to have a permanent presence in the Med….he might get it too since Cyprus desperately needs a bailot….what would Satan,,,,,er, I mean POTUS do then? Suppose the Feds will step in and lend them some soon to be worthless FRN.
