54 public schools are closing in Chicago, with changes to 11 others.
The South Side of Chicago is emptying out, much in the same way as Detroit did. As neighborhoods deteriorate, the thugs move in. As the thugs move in, the decent poor people move out. The more people move out, the more buildings are left empty. Food stores close, banks close. All that’s left are liquor stores and places to cash your welfare check and get robbed on your way home.
Without population and a tax base, you can’t afford schools. Raise taxes and you just speed up the process. So the school system that is failing miserably has to shed schools. No way in hell they’ll allow vouchers and non-union schools or shed administrative staff or cooperate with DHS to identify illegal immigrants putting their children into the schools, demanding interpreters and tutors.
According to the story, Philadelphia, Detroit, Newark and Washington DC have recently made similar announcements. How is this happening in Obama’s America?

The other big cluster is along I-290 – that’s another totally black part of town, where many of the shootings are.

As I’ve been settling in, it’s been pretty typical that people think it’s odd that someone would choose to move here. It’s worth pointing out I didn’t buy real estate. The highways leading South haven’t been blown up yet if the State of Illinois can’t turn the state around.
This is happening in Obama’s America because it is by design.
So, with no automobile it is means either a taxi or a rental. Both seem to be iffy on short notice if a SHTF scenario occurs.
That’s probably the main reason for the car. But I don’t know how receptive people in Wisconsin will be when a million people spill out of Chicago looking for food
Well, if you have no better recourse then head NW on I-90 towards Elgin, pick your way SW to I-88, head W to I-39, then go S to Bloomington. then SE on I-74 to Champaign, then S on I-57 to Effingham. If the SHTF, I would expect cell phones and email to be inoperative, and electricity would be off.
It’s long been my opinion if we had an exchange of nuclear weapons with the Russians, I want to be at ground zero, not a zombie wandering around dying of radiation poisoning trying to survive without civilization.
That didn’t sound too pessimistic, did it?
Well, I’m about 10 minutes from O’Hare. In a pinch, I’m within walking distance. Still no passport, though. I’m such a procrastinator.
There will not be any nuclear weapons launched. What is coming is far from that sort of thing. The airport is NOT the place to go, it will be overun with people hoping to flee and a major choke-point. Being on the street would be a very, very bad idea.
No passport? Get on that immediately, tomorrow.
Now, if you were ready to move soon after getting your passport, and the situation demanded it, you can come to my place. It’s not too bad here, we have running water and an inside toliet.
In playing out the SHTF path – I wondered if the authorities would occupy/nationalize the electric and water supply in an attempt to minimize sheeple anxiety and encourage cooperation. I don’t think they car, who knows (besides Alex Jones)?
With regard to Detroit, mentioned in the original blog above, just heard today that the state now has control of the city’s finances and will run everything. The comptroller, or whatever the position is called, will start work on Monday.
With regard to what really will set the future ‘SHTF’ events in motion is complicated and perhaps I’ll venture into that quagmire in the future.
I will disclose something I believe is important. After many months of meditation, study and asking for the answer as to what would be the certain sign that the age-old enemy of humanity was about to take over America, 2 words were given to me in 1984, and the message was crystal clear, “Income Redistribution”. Well of course income redistribution had been going on for a very long time, so I understood that what was basically meant was that income redistribution would be of such importance to an individual leader of our country that it would become clear in the future as to who that person would be.
On Oct. 12, 2008 when I first heard “Joe the Plumber’s” question to Obama, “Your new tax plan’s going to tax me more, isn’t it?” and Obama’s response to his question, “It’s not that I want to punish your success….I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.” As soon as I heard those last few words it was as if I had been given a huge, palpable jolt of cognitive realization.
A dissection of Obama’s statement, “It’s not that I want to punish your success…” means Obama most certainly wants to punish successful people who produce income. The real distinction is between wealthy people and people who produce income. Hence, the lapse of the so-called Bush tax cuts did not touch the wealthy, like Warren Buffet, only the high income earners.
Next, “I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.” This means Obama’s base of voters will get more money and he will implement polices, regulations and other means to destroy jobs. This was done in order to build a huge base of voters.
The really important thing to watch for will be if Obama follows in the footsteps of the now-deceased slug, Hugo Chavez and try to get the 2 term thing dashed to pieces.
“Income redistribution” is just a polite way of saying stealing, except using a middleman with guns and prisons. But with make believe money, even that concept is a bit vague.
Yep, that’s that is the polite way to state it, and a precise way describe that the current Federal Reserve Notes (FRN) are nothing more than ‘make believe money’. Hence, the Ruskies move to develop the Cypriots oil/gas fields in order to establish a permanent presence in the Med from which they can ‘keep an eye’ on the events unfolding in that part of the world. Of course it is far more complicated than that, to say the least.
