Larry Pinkney was a member of the original Black Panther Party. I wish Alex had asked him about the murder of Fred Hampton by the Chicago Police. My guess is Alex doesn’t know about it.

I actually read the article you linked, good Lord, it’s even worser (is that a word?) than I thought. OK, this has got to be a case of “How dare these good citizens (Robin Hoods) deprive us of our rightful revenue from the citizens who allow their parking meters to expire?”
In the city in Connecticut where I used to live, one of the members of the parking authority owned a used car dealership downtown and parked some of his inventory at metered spaces. When the ticket writer got brave enough to try to write a ticket, and was told to not write tickets, he called the head of the authority who showed up. The police were called. Ultimately it became a physical exchange between the two men
The parking deck has no purpose, the meters put up to try to force people to park in the garage stand by empty spaces and all the businesses are closing. The one thing keeping it going is the courthouse – it’s a deliberate strategy to have no free parking anywhere near the courthouse
I had seen some of that in 1980. It was describing a demonstration in Habana. Radio Habana Cuba mailing out propaganda to describe a demonstration in Cuba, you ask?
Yes indeed. I will never forget what it said the protesters were chanting. Johnny Cochran was right, people do remember rhymes. They were chanting:
“Hey Carter, you bum,
You get all the Cuban scum”
It was the time of the boatlifts.
Groups like the Black Panthers were pretty clearly trained and organized by the Soviet Union. To a large degree, Larry was “playing” Alex – I doubt his fundamental views about Black Nationalism have changed one bit. The City of Detroit was overtly targeted to become the homeland of the Black Nation in America. Racial segregation is a losing strategy.
I hadn’t considered that the Soviet Union had trained and organized the Black Panthers, but it makes sense.
I do know that in the 1960s and 1970s, 500 kw Cuban AM radio stations would beam programs to the United States in English. They were in targeted toward encouraging southern Blacks to organize and it makes sense that that would be a Soviet inspired and/or led effort.
I had not listened to those programs, but one evening as a kid, I was tuning the AM dial and heard the “Voice of Vietnam” in English from Hanoi. I knew the signal was not from Vietnam, so I listened to identify the station.
When the program was over, the speaker came on and said it was Radio Habana Cuba transmitting the Voice of Vietnam as a service to the American people.
There you go – it used to drive my dad nuts as they would clobber the AM clear channel stations. They also had a mailing list for college radio stations and Cuban propaganda would show up regularly.
Good video. If Larry Pikney keeps preaching to others the same things he is saying in the above interview then his fundamental views about Black Nationalism are not getting through to the listening audience. I have not listened to him before this video was posted. I seldom listen to Alex, but I don’t disagree with what I’ve heard in this video.
The old Soviet Empire may have trained the Black Panthers but that Empire
was broken into pieces. Putin has a streak of megalomania for certain, but he is
a nationalist first, and not trying to bring Russia to the point of collapse. The BRISCA nations, which may eventually include Germany, are deadly serious about their goal to bring down the western financial system headed by the Federal Reserve Bank. The discussion between Jones and Pikney seemed to focus on points of agreement in a joint effort against the current political system run by the Banksters.

China has quietly been colonizing Africa for its resources. Back when President Obama visited Africa to learn about his slavery (Kenyans were not the Africans sent to the Western Hemisphere), he stopped at Ghana – I noticed a railroad in the country and discovered that the barely functioning remnant of the British colonial era was being rebuilt by China in order to get access to much needed resources – this is going on all over Africa
You’re preaching to the choir my friend. China is investing in the infrastructure of countries all over the world. Now, just to sort’of leap ahead in the conversation, imagine the process of replacing a ‘world reserve currency’ also means that to be a world power a nation must conduct world trade, and the Chinese have taken a lesson from the IMF and the World Bank, and are simply offering better terms, or bail-outs if you prefer. The real crunch will come, as it inevitably does, when expanding trading empires always take the next step to protect their commerce and trade, and request ‘forward bases’, as in military bases.
So, yesterday it was Brazil, today it is Argentina, tomorrow it is Venezuela. Pretty soon all of Central America and the Caribbean. I think China was involved a few years ago in drilling for oil off the north coast of Cuba, a lovely tropical island.
They were indeed. Closer to the Florida coast than the many of the Gulf of Mexico rigs are to the United States coast. The state of Florida and US had banned drilling just a few miles north in the same oil field.
