Yet another Progressive Talker goes under

WXCO-AM in Wausau Wisconsin has been running the Dial Global Progressive lineup – Press, Schultz, Miller, Hartmann + Rhodes. It’s been replaced with Adult Standards – Sinatra, Dean Martin, Streisand, Barry Manilow and Elton John.

The Voice has stopped talking. Damn that Rush Limbaugh for destroying the 1st amendment.

“Sinatra, Dean Martin, Streisand, Barry Manilow and Elton John” – all progressives. I don’t mind listening to them as much as listing to “Press, Schultz, Miller, Hartmann + Rhodes” because they are better singers. Enjoy this short classic:

I didn’t know there were any progressive stations left. Top of my head, I can only think of KTLK in LA and KTNF Minneapolis. The fact that it’s a station in Wisconsin has to really sting.

Madison is quite liberal… and Minneapolis is commuting distance from Wisconsin.

      Here you go

In the latest PPM ratings for Chicago, WCPT had something like a 0.3% listening share despite being simulcast on like 4 stations.

WVON – the historic “Voice of Negroes” minority station on the South Side in the expanded AM band had a share of 0.0%

Me neither, most progressives or liberals don’t listen to AM talk and get most of thier information from TV like MSNBC.

And taxpayer funded PBS (through the CPB).

Liberals tend to view the world through their feelings and motions – isn’t it sad that someone is poor; isn’t it unfair that someone has more money than me.

To be good in comedy and performing in general, one needs to be in touch with feelings of oneself and others. Most performers are liberals.

Libertarians tend to view the world more analytically- what are the incentives people have to acting this way versus that way.

Conservatives, at least as defined in the US, tend to view the world more as what would protestant Jesus do? (Catholics are liberals, not Conservatives.)

They you go- everyone is neatly in a box and totally stereotyped. πŸ˜‰

Don’t be silly – there are no liberal Christians!

Another missed opportunity – usually it comes up when discussing “gay rights” and the anti-Christian stuff they say (or equating their sexual activities with blacks and slavery). Republicans lack the desire to divide and conquer. It’s a mystery why Republicans keep letting themselves be drawn into the abortion debate, which is mostly a cause pushed by Catholics who largely support the welfare state and don’t vote for Republicans – the Cubans in Florida being an exception

Catholics like the open border because the flood of Mexicans is a not only a Catholic flood, they go to church and have a lot of kids that they also send to church.

Liberal Christians come from a vast array of denominations: Anglican, Episcopalian, Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, and United Church of Christ. There could be others lurking out there in the hinterlands that, oh Lord forgive us, don’t belong to any organized religious church.

Leftists are all too angry and glib and pompous to build a large audience. Strangely, although many work in “comedy” they are not funny in the least. They all think they can be the lefty Rush, but he’s way too smart to have any true competition. His humor is often too subtle for the masses though which is why the left can take his sound bites and sell them as examples of right wing hate.

You have to be pretty savvy to get all of Rush’s satire, and you have to be of good humor yourself to deliver that kind of sardonic wit. The left doesn’t have it, because they are all angry and unhappy people.
