We’ve all been waiting to find out when the other shoe will drop on “internal national security force as well funded as the military” that we were promised. Any day now the 18,000 GD members in Chicago should be getting their new uniforms.
Failed presidential candidate John McCain has announced he looks forward to working with her.

It was down again this morning due to database issues. No idea why we had the power blip – there was no weather, it isn’t hot here yet. Maybe a truck plowed into a power pole somewhere.
The city of Chicago just basically took over the power system. You probably know that power generation and distribution are now different businesses. The people of Chicago last November voted to give the City the power to negotiate power rates, and become the default supplier unless you opt out and deman that ComEd be your electricity generation supplier – ComEd remains doing the distribution in the city and the billing. Perhaps someone in Chicago didn’t order enough electricity and tripped a circuit breaker.
Past administrations that maintained a veneer of respect (at least) for the Constitution – that would be Reagan and prior administrations for the most part – would have had the kiwis to evict bureaucrats who twisted their limited function into a policy shaping arm of government much less what is happening now. Starting with the Asian Golf Course Tycoon Bush 41 vetting / supervising and quadrennial bureaucratic personnel house cleaning ceased increasingly and it will only get worse – we are almost at a ‘Yes, Prime Minister’ situation now.
The unelected drones will sacrifice the elected to save themselves. I am convinced that that is how we get a Whore House Harry or McClown. Personally they no longer care about values, ethics anything but trappings. An aide can maneuver them into any position as long as the limo is waiting and he hears, ‘Yes, Senator – of course, Senator’ Music to their ears. Douche bags.
