Got hit by a Derecho on the 1st day of summer 2011, 8:24p, I was in the shower and had a shampoo on my hair. Derecho knocked down umpteen 100-300 year old trees around our dwelling. My neighbor (who owns everything around my piece of land) took the loss of trees pretty hard, mentally. We all survived and that’s the main thing to take away. We are doing OK these days, considering the alternatives.
Wow. I had never heard of it until now. I did a search and found an interesting map of where they occur

There are these amazing like electrical charges from the ground to the sky, and big loud boomy thingies! I’m sure glad I was prepared. All Praise our Leader for protecting us
OMG! OMG! USA Today says 74 million people are “at risk” from this massive storm! Some people may even lose power!
Already two tornadoes have touched down in Iowa!!!! No damage was reported!!!!!! OMG! OMG!!!!! Someone do something!!!!!
