To those still awake at this hour, Blair Garner could be a familiar name. He does a “show” for Premiere (Clear Channel) carried on a large number of country music stations overnight – it’s fairly dreadful – it’s prerecorded voice tracking – with segments between songs that are generally him telling some joke to his off microphone partner who would laugh at anything. It’s up to 6 hours overnight, 7 days a week.

But the news is he has just signed with Cumulus to be part of Nash FM. He’ll continue to air on Premiere, and then do his show from Nashville with a live audience from 6-10 AN (which is 5 AM in Nashville)
Blair Garner has just been inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame (located in Chicago). It’s a once in a lifetime honor. Let’s hope he isn’t introduced by Sally Jesse Raphael
