Mandy Connell to join Radio’s mile high club

Mandy is unique in that she is female and had developed a large streaming audience when she was on a station in Fort Meyers Florida. Almost no local talkers have any traction here. My theory was it was snowbirds who wanted to keep listening to her when they went North for the summer.

Then with no warning, she took a job at Clear Channel owned WHAS-AM in Louisville Kentucky. She went from being a smart thoughtful political commentator to talking to women about their banana cake recipes and the 4H booth at the county fair.

She’s moving on to KHOW-AM in Denver, the mile high city. I think she’s a woman who might be able to pull off doing national syndication. Keep your ears and eyes out for her.

Well let’s see what there is to like about Mandy: she is Conservative, so far so good, her husband retired out of Fort Carson in 1996…she has experience doing lot of jokes about genitalia and passing gas….she did sports radio for a couple of years…then went to doing news…had her own show in Fort Myers, Florida for five years before taking a job in Louisville. She was a flight attendant for Delta and she appears to be photogenic.

Ok, pretty face, nice hair, she’s married, good talker, against the Amnesty Bill and she has been quoted, “I don’t shy away from making people angry right out of the chute.”

OK, what’s not to like about her? I’ll listen.
