Glide Cycle

From the totally random department…

Ever seen one of these?

The idea is it allows you to run without it being a weight bearing exercise – your feet are pushing you along carrying maybe 30% of your body weight. Since you aren’t handing off your weight from side to side, you can do this faster than runningon the other hand I’m not sure how much exercise it actually is. It’s significant that all the video is in level ground.

Ready to buy one?

Neat! But, too many hills ‘n ridges for my area. A walking stick works well for me.

Looks interesting. My understanding is that heavy people can damage their joins and even bones from the bouncing of the weight when running.. this may be a good way to get them started safely and it looks like some fun.

Maybe Mayor Mike can buy them to replace the CitiBike program. lol

… but where is the drink cup holder? ;0

Ah yes – the Dorkmaster 1.5. A great piece of exercise equipment brought to us by the Dork Corporation. Suitable for clothes hanging when not in actual use.

At the beginning of the video on the right side, there is a scale model railroad track (probably a Live Steam railroad like Walt Disney had at his house). I wonder where this is 😉
