I still like my Pancakes by Marvin Pontiac
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7k7tfvvgsSc
BTW, In case you are not familiar with Mr Pontiac, here is a brief summary from http://www.strangeandbeautiful.com/marvin/ ( Note the last paragraph and the Detroit connection )
“Reportedly Marvin’s music was the only music that Jackson Pollack would ever listen to while he painted, this respect was not reciprocated. In 1970 Marvin believed that he was abducted by aliens. He felt his mother had had a similar unsettling experience, which had led to her breakdown. He stopped playing music and dedicated all of his time and energy to amicably contacting these creatures who had previously probed his body so brutally.
When he was arrested for riding a bicycle naked down the side streets of Slidell, La, it provided a sad but clear view of Marvin’s coming years.
Marvin held the tribal belief that having a photograph taken of yourself could steal your soul, thus these candid shots are the only ones known to exist.
In 1971 he moved back to Detroit where he drifted forever and permanently into insanity. “
Given the similarity of his background with Barack Obama Chevrolet, if things had been slightly different, he might have been the first Black President
If you crave the edgy stuff – check out anything on YouTube by Larry “Wild Man” Fischer. I remember “Merry Go Round” from my high school years (couldn’t find it on you tube).
Larry even made the Tonight Show with Jimmy Kimmel.
Had to add these quotes, just in case a recommendation from CC is not enough for streamingradioduide readers. … from the same link as my previous post:

Nice sing-song type music but it leaves me wondering, what does it all come down to these days?
Answer: nothing much, mon!
At least the stuff I heard on NPR, it sounded like she was singing from across the room – like how they deliberately blur the faces of older women on TV – then again, at this point I don’t trust my hearing
Is it possible I might have met him on a subway car on the CTA at 2 AM? He sounds familiar
And what is said about so many mass murderers these days?
‘They’ say, I heard voices (perhaps it was God’s voice but I dunno), all I did is write down what the ‘voice’ said, and I killed ’em.
