Why join in the “melting pot” when you can create activist organizations and bully society into giving you stuff. Maybe we should offer California to La Raza (The Race) or can we do that with a racist group?

In case you were wondering what Rise As One means

““Rise As One” communicates the aspiration of working with other diverse communities to bridge a divide and achieve solutions to our shared challenges. This theme highlights ascension to better opportunities, respect, and awareness as it relates to the improved image, position, and power of our communities within the nation. “Rise As One” resonates in the landscape of the Gulf South where there has been an absence, until now, of catalysts to inspire conversation about the need for unity among communities of color. This theme speaks to the importance of growing opportunities for the good of the whole community, not just for the benefit of Latino families. “Rise As One” also speaks to upward movement and demonstrates that while we’ve come a long way, we still have a long way to go and this journey can best be accomplished together.”

Translation: We’re going to take over New Orleans and kick out the black people who resist our gangs

The term “The One” is often encountered in Rousseau’s writing (one of the patron saints of the Left). This led to such expressions as, “We are as one”, “We are the One’s We have been waiting for”, etc. Rosseaus’ “The One” is analagous to Plato’s “The Prince”.

Much of what Obama says is straight from Rousseau’s writing, as are all of his beliefs and policies (including his belief that he is our benevolent dictator). A good survey of the sequence of Liberal academic tomes, starting with Plato (another patron saint of the Left), is found in the book, “The Quest for Community”. I think the author’s last name was Nisbet.

It is scary, though informative, to see how the belief structure and policies of the Left have been lifted essentially verbatim, especially from Plate and Rousseau. The academic Left (redundant, I know), in their academic classes, study and absorb these sources to form their beliefs.

One of the scariest aspects of Rosseau is his redefinition of words like Freedom, Liberty, and Individualism to mean the exact opposite of what those words mean to conservatives. This allows Leftists to talk sincerely about Freedom, Liberty, and Individualism, thereby simultanously appealing to both conservatives, moderates, and liberals, while describing and promoting far Left policies. This is one of the primary reasons why discussions with liberals are a waste of time.

  6. Wil Schuemann says:

You are correct. According to Rosseau, freedom consists of everyone being able to think and act exactly like all other humans, all of whom have been homogenized to conform to the “General Will”, which just happens to be whatever “The One” believes it should be (This is actually a flowery dreamy theory of hope and complete fulfillness for everyone, which would otherwise be known simply as a dictatorship)
