“The Patriot” has always been a radio station on my radar as struggling based on the constant changes and the lack of advertising – the WR in the call sign is a reference to [Warren] Robins Air Base. The owners seem to have the idea that Conservative Talk would appeal to the military – but since military people spend most of their money in the PX on the base and live in government housing and wear government clothes, they aren’t particularly useful to advertise to. Robins is part of the Air Force Logicists – big cargo planes and the like, not where fighter planes or bombers are kept.
The buyer is paying $80k at closing, and a $320k 10 year note. More than likely the station will change to a format more in line with the 38% of the population who identify themselves as Africans.
… as opposed to Afrikaans… or yes we cans 😉
