Bobby Jindal for President?

A caller to the John Gibson show asked the guest host “Why have people stopped talking about Bobby Jindal as President?” The host did not know.

I don’t know anyone who advocates him – Jindal is not eligible to run for President. He was born in Louisiana 6 months after his parents arrived from India. Getting US Citizenship requires being a US Resident for at least 5 years – so neither of his parents were US citizens at birth. He is an “anchor baby” US Citizen.

One might argue that qualifies him as a natural born citizen, but that could be a brutal legal fight. At some point, people will realize he was raised as a Hindu, and ask how sincere his conversion to Christianity. Unlike the same issues with President Obama, the Media will be in attack mode, not protective mode.
