My helper in Oregon flooded me with a bunch of “new” stations, which looked improbable that they were new. After going through a dozen or so of them, I noticed there are currently 1285 “new” FM stations.
This happened once before when the nightly update died partway through the processing because of a 3 way call sign swap on the same day. Unfortunately, this time I was doing other things and didn’t notice it the day it broke.
It’s always something
I saved off a copy of the streaming records (just in case) and brute forced the “deleted” records back into the database. A few HD 2/3 streams probably got clobbered or maybe the primary station is now pointing at the HD2/3 web pages. Stuff happens.
LOL Just like the Movie.

I know just who can fix it for you Art – look no further than their own website:

😉
Unfortunately, it happened again.
About 4,000 stations were dropped 2 nights ago, then added back as new last night. My quick look suggests something was corrupted in the data, like the license status which made them appear deleted.
I’ve considered just dropping the non-talk radio stations to change the focus. I really don’t care that some station in Oregon that doesn’t even stream switched from Adult Contemporary to Contemporary Hits.
The web site has lost critical mass – I’m watching to see if that was just Google reacting to the server being down for the move or whether it’s permanent. Search terms like Limbaugh streaming used to show up as #1 – now I’m behind Tunein and talkstreamlive.
I’ve used your lists to find music streams. Once I found a few stations and added them to favorites, I don’t need to return until there is a format change or my tastes change.
It is still a great service, but needs fewer visits than talk shows and their ever changing schedules.
