Last year, the rebuilding of the Pacific Electric Interurban line to Culver City was completed as a LRV line. One of the stations is right across the street from the KABC-AM radio station. It is estimated that Cumulus will be able to get $90 million for the site.
That just leaves the question of where KABC will move the transmitter. With AM radio, it is possible to “dipole” a tower and use the same tower for two stations. Given the frugality of Cumulus, I’m guessing there is probably a Spanish language station that would rent their tower for $100 a month.
