A local story, surely one of 10s of thousands to come.
The Obamacare deadline (to prevent a lapse in coverage) is Monday.
This woman bought the dream of free government stuff – she is one who believed she was going to get great health care for $13 a month. Her alleged insurance provider didn’t get the signup. The second time around, she is now told her subsidy is less (which can only mean that the Navigator on the first try got one of the 5 data items wrong – age, zip code, number of dependents, smoking status or most likely – estimated 2014 income)
She’s now told her insurance (which she hasn’t had for 12 years) will be over $100 a month. She’s mad enough to call the TV station.
Maybe she hasn’t got the message yet. Stop being productive. Quit your job, go on Medicaid, get Food Stamps, housing subsidy, WIC once you get pregnant and your problem is solved.
We are creating a world exactly like the Walking Dead except the zombies are the Obamacare government mooches who will eat you for trying to tell the truth. That accounts for why the show is so successful.
“Maybe she hasn’t got the message yet. Stop being productive. Quit your job, go on Medicaid, get Food Stamps, housing subsidy, WIC once you get pregnant and your problem is solved. ”
That’s it ! thats the plan Art. McClown is voting for it, ‘ RINO’ . Maybe you could have bought a ticket for the $645 million dollars, won and got your cheese? We can lotto ourselves to prosperity?

After I wrote my blurb, then I viewed the actual TV report. Getting pregnant is highly unlikely.
Glenna Kaplan of Lincoln County said, “That’s the thing, they’re messing with my life, and they’re not telling me the truth.”
Kaplan has also been told by the operators that she can delete all of her information and start all over again. But she said she doesn’t want to lose the $513 dollar a month subsidy. For her, it’s the difference of paying $13 a month or $100 a month for the health insurance plan she wants.
I wonder if da ObamaNation will give a carve-out to government employees for running a ‘bait ‘n switch’ operation?
One of the complaints from the insurance companies is they are getting multiple signups from the same person and/or the policy being canceled right after it is submitted.
So, the total sign-up numbers put out by the Regime are bogus and/or hugely inflated? Could people with good intentions screw up this badly?
I’m shocked, I tell you.
One thing I haven’t pinned down rule wise is whether companies can offer individual insurance policies without participating in the Federal Exchange. Golden Rule (United Healthcare), Cigna and Aetna are the AWOL players. When I try to get quotes for 2014, they were either not available or just gave a toll free number to call.
My understanding is that they can and do – the idea is to have a better pool. The pool on the exchange is the only one that can get the taxpayer funding to subsidize so it will be more people with expensive medical conditions that would drive up the rates for other customers.
The open issue is whether off exchange insurers (that’s the real term) -must- eventually join the exchange.
As of today, still no Welcome packet in the mailbox.
