Limbaugh streaming share over 60%

During the live broadcast hours (Noon-3PM Monday-Friday), Rush has topped 60% for all streaming (here). If you restrict the sample to only political talk (no Jim Rome!), that share rises to 75%.

Dave Ramsey long ago jumped the shark. While Ramsey is on a large number of stations, the “I’m debt free!” screams and soft sell pitches to buy life insurance are getting thread bare. Clark Howard is likewise fading.

Dennis Miller will get some portion of the remaining 25% – listening to delayed broadcasts of Beck and Ingraham still are there, but shrinking.

Savage is now solidly in #3. Hannity is #7 – the reality is there are only 7 syndicated talk shows left. Below 7, you get to Coast to Coast, weekend shows and the Salem radio shows that people don’t come here to find.

I didn’t think I’d resubscribe to paper magazines. This year I American Spectator, New Oxford Review, New Criterion, La Cucuna Italania (just in time for the last print edition) and some of the restaurant stuff. With out net neutrality I’m sure Time Warner / Verizon and the rest will screw up the internet. Netflix stock was up on new subscriber data (I’m one) but I don’t understand clearly how carrier’s fangs will reshape the Netflix P/L statement. This is probably why Beck has been haranguing and browbeating his listeners to shill for him. I dropped Amazon because of crappy content and cutesy games with television series. The hold back some episodes to attempt to spur DVD/Mp3 purchases.

Dave Ramsey’s faded ’cause…no one ain’t got no money to invest.

Limbaugh remains the 800 lb. gorilla in the room. My complaint? His microphone is way to hot. You can hear every breath, every rale, every lip smack. I long for old school Shure microphones.
