Beck on Science

I missed the big Bill Nye debate in Evolution vs Creationism.

However, I did hear a couple minutes of Beck this morning before turning it off in disgust, yet again.

The flow of consciousness among Beck, Stu and Pat was (paraphrasing) that if you think the world is more than 6,000 years old, you’re a science believer – science believers created Eugenics, and all scientists are responsible for wanting to kill Jews in the holocaust, therefore if you reject the Biblical version of Creation, you are an advocate of genocide.

Having his program listed under religion is an understatement.

Beck has some great ideas and some great shows….. then he moves into another phase where he has neither.

Beck used to use the metaphor of using duct tape wrapped around your head to keep it from exploding when you heard a really stupid idea. Well, I suspect he failed to heed his own advice – he has (as Parrot noted) gone suck. What sentient being would get off on some tangent about years and creationism? If the world was created in seven days – how long was a day? How long is a year? Makes my head hurt just thinking about it.

They’re not on at the same time, but Savage’s lead over Beck is widening. At one time, it was apparent Savage’s producer was reading the prior blog. He was hit with the question about how old the Esrth is and mostly side stepped it. His role model and why he went into the field he did was Charles Darwin.

I wish I hadn’t started at Beck yesterday, you’re right guys that was worthless discussion. He might as well have Joe Biden on his show every morning. Thanks for saying it Briand : )

I didn’t listen to Beck today. Did anyone else? Did he say anything of importance?
Kinds weird that I didn’t listen at all.
    I’m strong,

I like Glenn very much, although his preachiness goes way over the top many times.

If you missed the Glenn Beck parody from the Onion in 2009, I laughed so hard I almost cried. (note: some foul language) These folks have some real cohones!

      This unvarnished, just naked news

        That’s so 10 years ago.

There is just something so wrong about about hearing a news story about a car bomb exploding while a woman is stripping. I don’t doubt for a second CNN would do this if not for the flak they would get.

It looks like the original cast have gotten a bit long in the tooth and moved on. It’s also from Canada. The most interesting stuff are the man on the street interviews where people try to avoid reacting to being interviewed by a naked woman. There was a male gay version last time I remember looking at the site. I doubt that sold many subscriptions

I love Glenn but his Friday shows leave a lot to be desired.
His TV Show can’t be beat. It is the best for true knowledge of what is actually happening in this world!!

The Blaze radio news if good too.

    • Art Stone says:

They are following a radio “formula” that I’m not sure is valid now, if it ever was. The idea is that on Friday, people are focused on getting ready for their weekend – sporting events, going to the cabin, getting drunk, going shopping, etc… And don’t want to listen to anything serious that might require thought or paying attention.
