So where is the lost plane?

Is the USS Enterprise from the future holding it in its tractor beam?

I wonder if they are monitoring radiation levels.

So how do you make a plane disappear without any warning or debris?

Theories?

Oil slicks confirmed are not from an airplane (duh!)

The one identified suspect using a stolen passport is a black man. If I was laying odds, the stolen passports (which have an Iranian connection per a Jewish newspaper) are just a smuggling operation and not related to the vanishing plane.

International flights to the US require transmittal of identity documents prior to departure, which would ave caught the stone passports, however the plane was going to China.

  3. Art Stone says:

The two fake IDs had no specific plane in mind, just getting from Qatar back to Europe cheaply

This supports the idea this will be a dead end

I think, they (Hijackers) had a deal with co-pilot, for big cash. They took over the plane, tied up the real pilot, and took it to the deck at 150 feet, below radar.
Then turned off the transponder to not give up location.
Landed on a dirt runway or old Vietnam war era runway in Laos or Cambodia. With a light load they can get off a short runway easy.
Set off the passengers, and loaded up with fuel and explosives, then headed to Tokyo, or Istanbul, Turkey.
And Elvis is still alive. They have him frozen, kept in a missile silo in east Texas and will thaw him out when the economy gets better.

Al Jazeerah is reporting that the Pan Am Lockerbee plane explosion may have been the work of Iran, not Libya.

    • Art Stone says:

Why would Qatar (who owns Al Jazeera have motivations to want to point fingers at Iran?

The two Iranians with stolen passports had started their trip from Qatar. Let’s investigate Qatar.

      • fhiggins says:

Batchelor attributed the same report to the Telegraph last night.

      • Parrott says:

Kinda reminds me of a joke I once heard. Two Iranians go into a bar one night. One has a a small goat under his arm.
        You know the rest,,,

LOL, I think it lost something in the translation ?
I had originally heard it with Afghans, I think. Those goat and muslim jokes crack me up, LOL
Hate for the plane to just be terrorism and crashed. I really hope its in Laos and the passengers are fine. But unfortunately, thats the definition of Terrorism, I guess.

The airframe is said to be about 15 years old. That is young in terms of the US air fleet. It makes me rule out structural failure. The passports were two “criminals” it appears – just making their way to a safe country. Terrorism can’t be ruled out, but you want to remember that the goal of terrorism is terror, not deep mystery, so I tend to rule out terrorism (no one has claimed responsibility as yet). Lightning strike? It’s hard to say – the ocean is a very vast and deep place. A friend of mine who is a pilot told me how he is compensated and over the open ocean flight pays the highest rate he is aware of. It is dangerous and it is a shame – whatever the cause.

    • CC1s121LrBGT says:

Open ocean flights never worry me much. Ships below and communication with geostationary satellites over the equator.

Transpolar flights do make me nervous. 14 hour flight and after an hour from NYC, you pass Montreal. No sign of humanity for the next 10 hours.

    Well, things get interesting.

This in the past has not been a particularly reliable source

    http://www.hindustantimes.com/world-news/malaysianairlinemystery2014/malaysia-missing-airline-probe-finds-scant-evidence-of-attack/article1-1193460.aspx

But in correlates with another report that the United States effort has been focused on the water on the West side of the Malaysia peninsula. The radar record shows the plane turning around and flying several hundred miles from where the transponder was turned off and losing altitude. Normal radar is line of sight – if the plane is flying very low, it can’t be seen on ground based radar more than maybe 30 miles. A plane damaged enough to knock out its communications systems wouldn’t be able to fly that long.

So who would want to hijack a plane full of people and then try to evade detection of where the plane went?

The Chinese think the Uighur Muslims are behind this – you may remember stabbing attacks in China about a week ago. Another crackpot source thinks this was a fabricated event to distract attention from Russia taking over the Crimea.

    • TheChairman says:

“One man said he had convinced two policemen to come to his home Sunday night to witness the active QQ account on his desktop computer. But sometime Monday afternoon, when he wasn’t paying attention, it had suddenly switched off.”

Granted, a phone could survive a fall from altitude and/or function under water… but at some depth it might fail (dial) or the signal would degrade.

There are a few other reports of ‘phantom’ calls from the phones of passengers. Seems odd that nobody can trace the phone/sim signals.

Something funky is going on, too many oddities for this level of avionics.

    • Art Stone says:

If Malaysia knew the plane turned around, I hope Vietnam sends them a bill for the pointless ocean search.

  9. WesternMA says:

Because I’m not up on technology, can someone explain why so many of the passengers cell phones are still ringing? Numerous relatives are reporting that the cell phones still seem to be working. Does that rule out the plane being in the water?

  10. WesternMA says:

If the phones are still ringing, isn’t it possible to do a triangulation (before the batteries run out), or do I watch too much CSI?

    http://www.examiner.com/article/malaysia-airlines-passengers-cell-phones-ring-is-china-hiding-the-truth

    • Art Stone says:

I think the military in Malaysia knows more than they are telling. I would not be shocked if they shot down the plane after it crossed over the mainland at low altitude with the transponder off and ignored demands to land.

Isn’t that basically what Alex Jones wanted George Bush to do on 9/11?

  11. WesternMA says:

What would Malaysia have to gain from that act?

  12. Art Stone says:

Let me try a different hypothetical – the pilots did it and or someone got control of the plane.

It was dark outside flying over the ocean – many passengers were probably asleep. If the pilot made a gentle turn in the dark away from land, you would have to be one smart passenger to catch on. You might notice the moon is on the wrong side of the plane. The plane was supposed to fly over Vietnam, so land appearing below the plane would not be suspect except it happened too soon and then you were back over water again, which is wrong.

Did the plane have satellite Internet? Satellite phones?

That doesn’t even matter – if a suspicious person picked up his iPhone and turned it on, it has a compass and GPS that doesn’t rely on Internet access. So you see the plane is not heading to China, but is flying South crossing back over Malaysia.

“oh stewardess, could you check on the pilot? My phone says we’re way off course”…other passengers turn on their phones and they all say the same thing.

    What now?

    • Art Stone says:

My cousin who is an expert in such things determined the moon had set at 12:40 AM local time – so there was no moon in the sky at the time the plane changed direction. The only lights in the sky were the stars and planets.

    • CC1s121LrBGT says:

Last fall the FAA allowed electronic devices on planes. I waited until we were at cruising altitude to be sure, then turned on my car’s GPS that I had in my shirt pocket. It was great watching the groundspeed and seeing how fast it could recalculate the directions home when the plane missed a turn on the road below.

It displayed the correct altitude, and groundspeed, but didn’t realize my altitude didn’t match the altitude of the roads below.

      • Art Stone says:

I had a similar experience with my iphone riding the train from CT to New York City. Different apps deal with it differently but the assumption is generally that you’re driving along a major road, especially if you’re going 79 mph.

Location awareness cheats big time and tells you as much. Apple Google and others have created Databases of stationary wifi routers and their MAC IDs and their geographic coordinates. Cell phone towers likewise are in a database. What this means is location services most the time is not even relying on GPS as it’s updates require “hearing” 3 or more satellites to get a reasonably accurate fix, but that’s easier said than done, especially when you’re moving.

The phone (at least the newer ones) have a compass and accelerometer that can then calculate your speed, direction and current location based on dead reckoning and the wifi routers whizzing by and cell phone towers. It then mixes in the assumption that you’re in a car.

  13. Art Stone says:

    VoA weighs in
    http://www.voanews.com/content/mystery-deepens-as-search-for-missing-plane-expands/1868843.html

It’s not a huge secret that VoA has very close ties with the CIA, so if our intelligence folks know something, VoA is likely to have the scoop. They have pictures of the two Iranians and their real names. Others are reporting that the two men hold and have used valid Iranian passports – so this is deception rather than them not having travel documents.

I’m going to guess with the sanctions in place against Iran, getting permission to fly into the EU is very unlikely. It still seems they were probably up to something, but doesn’t yet explain a connection. Perhaps they are drug mules.

The Malaysian General who was the source of the information that the plane turned around is now denying that he said it

If 95% of crimeans vote to leave Ukraine, how are we “defending Democracy” to oppose the vote?

    Is Democracy dead?

  16. Nidster says:

“So how do you make a plane disappear without any warning or debris?”

Good question, but as CC wrote “Well, the signaling system was disabled right at the waypoint where the air traffic control is dropped by Malaysia and just before it is picked up by Vietnam – the exact spot of that dead zone.” Art replied, ” It took two hours of back and forth between Vietnam ATC and Malaysia ATC to sort out they had a problem – by then he was 1000 miles from where they were looking.”

So, if we agree it was a deliberate act to change course and eventually disappear from radar, the main question is what is the motive? Was there a person, or persons onboard the flight that someone wanted to disappear without a trace? I think the most important clue is to understand the Plan was to leave virtually no trace of the airplane or its passengers for others to find. In other words, to cloak the whole incident in mystery.

And, of course there have been plenty of other mysterious events, remember Egyptian Air 990 that went down 60 Miles off Nantucket in late August 1999 with 217 passengers aboard? “Included in the passenger manifest were 33 Egyptian military officers returning from a training exercise; among them were two Brigadier-Generals, a Colonel, a Major, and four other air force officers. After the crash, newspapers in Cairo were prevented by censors from reporting the officers’ presence on the flight.[8][Wikipedia]

    • Art Stone says:

The press seem to be scared to follow up on the initial story it was politically motivated and the pilot had been at the sodomy unacquittal of the opposition leader just before he went to the airport. I believe that was the motive, if accurate.

I had an online conversation with a long term acquaintance who lives in Singapore, which is basically the former British colony at the end of the Malaysian Peninsula. She says nobody with a clue invests money in Malaysia. It’s a tightly controlled, extremely corrupt hell hole.

If you are Malay, you are required to be a Muslim. Chinese and other ethnic groups have more flexibility.

When I asked her a very open ended question about Crimea, she said they worry a lot about being taken over like that – not by Malaysia, but by Indonesia

      • Nidster says:

I read the link you provided on the ‘sodomy’ trials, and it is an interesting observation about the pilot being politically motivated. The question I would have is, why did the pilot not make it clear that it was about that? Was he concerned about how his family/friends would suffer for his action?

And, the observation about who is, and who is not welcome to invest in Malaysia makes sense. Seems the Elite are motivated by the same motives regardless where on Earth they live and/or operate. They are compelled by something evil, IMO, to exert control, sometimes total control, over other people.

Regarding Crimea, if I were of Russian heritage living in Crimea, I would have voted to be annexed back into Russia.

    • CC1s121LrBGT says:

It is interesting. It seems the pilot was very upset that high profile homosexuals were being arrested and thrown in prison in his country of Malaysia. Not to say the pilot did anything wrong, but reports are that it really pissed him off.

A few months ago, President Obama was using the homosexual community to really piss off President Putin.

I don’t like to see people used as pawns.

  17. CC1s121LrBGT says:

“The problem could also be that some people accused as being homosexuals, really are not.”

I’m sure… and people that are not accused are.

Personally, I think it is about power and control. Some people just like to control others.

  18. Nidster says:

OK, back on topic. Question: “So where is the lost plane?”

Real questions to be answered is this: Why is, or Why does the Establishment “feature” this story, out of the thousands of ‘good stories’ available each and every day? Of course it’s a good ‘mystery’, it’s compelling because of all the families who can be shown on TV crying and weeping, and demanding those who are in authority to provide the answers of Who done it? Why did it happen, and Where is my Son, Brother, Mother, Father, baby?”

So, what is the real objective?

The answer of course is it fits within their “Social Engineering” parameters.

  19. Art Stone says:

Malaysia says the flight ended in the South Indian Ocean – based on an analysis of satellite data, not yet in finding debris.

The current story is the pilots were disabled and the plane flew in a straight line until it ran out of fuel.

The airline initially had said there was no hazardous material on board, but then later admitted there was a large quantity of lithium ion batteries in the cargo hold.

    • Nidster says:

All sounds rather fishy. Wonder how much the lithium ion batteries were worth? I assume if there is no definite ID of the people aboard the plane then the beneficiaries of anyone’s life insurance will have to wait,,,,how long?

      • CC1s121LrBGT says:

Who’d spend 100 grand to drive around town on a box of lithium batteries with heated leather seats?

      • Art Stone says:

Lots of interesting questions. Even if they’re floating on a raft (not likely), they’re probably dead by now.

Survival tip from a similar incident. Drinking ocean water will kill you. Drinking water using the other end of your digestive tract doesn’t. See, Dr Kellogg wasn’t totally nuts.

      • Art Stone says:

The anal retentive government of Malaysia is saying the amount of batteries on board is “classified” information.

I think part of the reason for the lack of progress in the search may be that Malaysia may not agree to pick up the costs. If I was a container ship with millions of dollars of merchandise and paying a crew and with limited fuel and a schedule to keep, I would ignore their request for help. If they had paid Boeing the $M33 ($10 USD) per flight, we would know exactly where it went down and probably why.

  20. Parrott says:

yeah, I don’t know. If my wife had been on board flight 370, they would have to show me more information that the plane was down in the Indian ocean. I would guess they are showing the families more than a few fuzzy satellite photos. I would ask to ride an P3 out there to look. But hell they could fly in circles and only be a hundred miles off the coast and probably fool someone into thinking they were 1500 miles from Perth.
We’ll see if this ever pans out. I just wonder why the pilots would want to do that? Seems strange.
I guess I should quantify that I don’t believe the single bullet theory in the Kennedy assignation.
    Just saying
