Okay, this story can get me in trouble fast. Over in Saint Louis, someone got the bright idea (again) to target an AM radio station only at women with all female hosts. There is only one station I can think of that has made this work and it’s on FM.
Word comes today that KXFN (ex-FAN) is turning in the towel and reverting back to sports (America loves sports!)

I admit to have missing this entire thing. I went to the web site today on my iPad to see if they have a stream to confirm it is now ESPN.
I was greeted with this:
Okay, so let me get this right – you’re displaying a QR code on the screen of a mobile device and telling me to use the camera on the device to take a picture of its own screen?
Blond women?
(on top of that, this iPad doesn’t have a camera)

I was taken to: http://www.1380thewoman.com/ListenLive.aspx where the ad played fine and then the stream would not start. Nothing to stream? Broken player? Fiddlesticks and I was hoping to become a 21st century man.
I did some research and concluded that it is truly a Yahoo Sports affiliate now. I think, as Art mentioned a few times, that stations don’t care to update their websites when big changes occur.
