This makes me sad. I listened to Bruce Williams a lot as a young man 30 years age when he and Sally Jesse Raphael were pioneers in national talk show syndication on NBC Radio (long before the 1996 deregulation of radio).
I watched and listened as he migrated from syndicator to smaller syndicator and less and fewer influential stations, and ultimately sponsored his own show selling products he has an interest in like Jersey Pork Rolls. He went from talking about money and business to talking about politics, most of which was hopelessly out of touch with anyone who wasn’t alive during WWII. Most of his ad spots were pleas for someone, anyone to please advertise on his show.
I was relieved when he finally got the message it was time to leave the stage. I want to remember him as he used to be. This new radio show started April 16th, 2012.
I’m not sure if this show has any actual affiliates, but if you think you hear his voice, that’s the scoop. There appear to also be podcasts if you want to listen.
This is his most recent show.

He starts this show talking about how young people today in radio don’t know anything. The show appears to be live 2-3 PM (Eastern Time). He gives out a phone number to call in, but since there is nobody carrying the show other than the internet web stream, I’m not sure who is going to call in.
I’m eager to check it out. I remember listening to Bruce on long car trips as a child, and I continued listening as an adult, even when I had to listen on-line. He offered a lot of the same wisdom as Dave Ramsey but had a much broader range of topics. I also lamented his change of format post 911. He was just too laid-back for political talk and not ready to assert strong opinions on current issues like he did on business and personal finance.
His show is on AM 1360 in Pittsburgh. WMNY.
Not yet unless that happened in the last 12 hours. The guy who runs the “network” emailed me on Monday asking me to add the “network” and its shows, not knowing I discovered them on Saturday and had already added them. He indicated in that email that Bruce Williams is currently Internet Only.
