Per the Three Generation Rule(tm), the 2nd Generation is able to take over.
Rupert Murdoch is 83 and has 6 children. If he cared about News Corp or the company’s owners, he would release the company to professional managers, but apparently he hates his children, so he is putting two of his sons in place to take over when he can’t continue at the helm

Per the Three Generation rule, the Second Generation remembers their dad working 80 hours a week and are dedicated to keeping Dad’s company alive – but will be dogged for the next 20 years working with subordinates who knew their dad and will constantly remind son of that (“your dad wouldn’t have done that”), so generally the company doesn’t fall apart, but it loses its vision to innovate and instead goes into “don’t screw it up” mode.
Since he put two sons in place and two other children also control the family trust, it may not even survive the transition.
Rupert Murdoch needs to fire the help and let his son re-hire new subordinates. Problem extended for 2 more generations
