Playing Hardball

This is one of the scariest things I’ve read yet. The USDA has imposed strict new rules on schools that are serving meals to students (who are required by law to be there). Congress, as the elected representatives of the people is pushing back on the USDA. The USDA has now brought in the military to threaten Congress that they are endangering national security:

Agriculture Secretary Vilsack, Retired Military Leaders and a School Food Service Director to Host Media Call on Recent Attempts to Undermine Child Nutrition Standards and the Impact on Military Readiness

WASHINGTON, May 21, 2014- TOMORROW, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, William S. Wallace, General, U.S. Army (Retired), James A. “Jamie” Barnett, Rear Admiral, U.S. Navy (Retired) and a School Food Service Director will host a media call to discuss efforts by some Members of Congress and special interest groups to undermine childhood nutrition standards and the effect that would have on military readiness. The retired generals and admirals of Mission: Readiness have strongly voiced their opposition to efforts by Members of Congress and special interests to weaken nutrition standards.

According to Mission: Readiness, more than one in five young Americans is too overweight to enlist in the armed services. Being overweight or obese is the number one medical reason why young adults cannot enlist and represents a major threat to national security. An estimated 75 percent of all young Americans between the ages of 17 and 24 are unable to join the military for various reasons including being physically unfit.

Your children are a crop being raised to serve the needs of the US Military. Any doubt that marshal law could happen here some day?

The good news is that in recent years all these folks have been arming themselves. Let’s hope they can settle the issue amongst themselves. 🙂

“Your children are a crop being raised to serve the needs of the “GOVERNMENT”.

What more could one add to that statement?
