Delilah is a “Soft Rock” program syndicated by Premiere from 7pm-Midnight (ET). It’s targeted directly at females, so most visitors here have never heard of it nor are interested.
iHeartRadio has added a free 24/7 feed of the show, and it is still on terrestrial radio as well, so qualifies to be added as an internet only “station”.

Smooth – that is Delilah. It appears to be a version of Dr. Laura without the professional credentials. What Delilah has cornered the market on is sap – which can be made into syrup. I think I felt a lot of estrogen coming through the headphones, so be careful when you listen 🙂
Does it give you a honey do list? lol
It will be interesting to see if it lasts longer than Mojo Radio, the testosterone powered talk radio for guys did.

The only thing new here is I added the iHeartRadio channel as a “station”. She’s been on the air for 15 years, the last 10 years on Premiere with probably hundred affiliates Including WLTW-FM, the number one rated station in New York City – with a 7.1 share (5x the ratings of WABC)
Thank you for making the point so clearly. I think the real question is whether Rush Limbaugh will outlast Delilah. I seriously doubt it.
The affiliate in Los Angeles is very instructive about the types of deceptions people in radio make. Delilah is heard for 1 hour a day (at noon) on KFSH-FM, a Contemporary Christian station owned by Salem Broadcasting with a 1% market share. It’s Class A (6000 watts) and has only a fringe signal in Downtown LA. To a national advertiser who isn’t paying attention, they think they are buying a presence in the #2 market (“the show is heard in 24 of the top 25 markets” would be a typical sales person claim) – the reality is few people in LA will hear the show and there is an 80% chance your ad won’t even be on the air, since it is only 1 out of 5 hours)
Rush is just a man. An irreplaceable man, but a man nonetheless. He can’t possibly do this forever. He doesn’t need the money and it’s obvious he has other things he’d rather be doing. Delilah’s show can be done by anyone, though. And it is, really…many people doing the exact same “crying dedication” format now.
In fact, Delilah could be dead for 20 years and still do the show. That’s the magic of “evergreen” voice tracking.
It turns out, there are several different versions of her “show”, with different songs depending on the normal type of music the station plays.
Giving Delilah a 24/7 iHeartradio channel is completely in line with what Clear Channel sees as the future of entertainment distribution . Radio stations are the feeder roads, but iHeartradio is the freeway where the traffic is aggregated
Perhaps Delilah is already dead!
My description of her is she’s the female version of Casey Kasem. I don’t know how much of her show is even live. Voice Tracking can do miracles. The biggest marker is if one caller says something about what another caller said, but even that can be contrived.
Delilah is what would happen if Casey’s long distance dedication took up the whole show. Awful…just awful.

Look at who sponsors Delilah, and look at who does not sponsor Rush Limbaugh
Good news – Dave Ramsey has a 24/7 free channel now

It has an extra nice feature, at least on the iPad – the instant you change the focus away from the player (like switching to another tab in the browser), the stream stops.
The show is also on iHeartradio and will play in the background
