And at the wire….

So far, Hillary has a much lower % than Obama in 2012 in every state, but I would not read much into that – yet

I’m watching The NY Times web site. Their primary coverage is why I decided to pay them $8 a month, although I think the coverage is free without a subscription. Just the numbers, and a very fast web site (unlike Real Clear Politics). You can drill down County by county. NC is closing – last round of drinks

  2. Fred Stiening says:

    I’ve turned off comment screening,

  3. Fred Stiening says:

NY Times is showing the NC early voting results, but showing count at < 1% Shockingly, Hillary has carried Charlotte

  4. Fred Stiening says:

The NY Times has a real time needle aggregating the probability – it started at Clinton @ 83% – it is down to 73% – way to go, Virginia

  5. Fred Stiening says:

Time to start writing my concession speech. Trump looks strong in Michigan and a solid margin in Florida. They’re just dragging their feet on Louisiana to make it look close. No surprises going against Trump

  6. Fred Stiening says:

NY Times just dropped Hillary to 50%.

  7. Fred Stiening says:

    Hillary down to 47%

  8. JayMar says:

Holy smokes, the impossible is becoming possible.FL is definitely going Trump. PA looks Clinton, the big cities are normally Democrat. A lot of Pittsburghers are Democrat, not because they know the issues but because their father and grandfather were also Democrat. People here believe the this is the party of the people. Heavily union.

    • Fred Stiening says:

Trump is expected to lose PA and could still win. Minnesota is Red to this point… Michigan may go for Trump… Louisiana they called, Missouri is red, they’re just stalling on Georgia

    • Fred Stiening says:

Trump is going to win Ohio, despite Kasich’s best effort

NY Times doesn’t even show McMullen in Utah. They might be missing the lead for the night

  9. Fred Stiening says:

    Hillary now 41% 🙈🎈

  10. JayMar says:

This is all amazing. I have Fox News on and Yahoo which has the map by counties. This is really exciting. Maybe, just maybe he will make it.

  11. Fred Stiening says:

Reporting of numbers seems to have stalled. Must by Ivan hopping in the ring with the metal folding chair

Pedestal: tell the troops we need votes!!!

  12. Fred Stiening says:

Hillary down to 39% although VA just slipped into blue – must be the box from the prisons

  13. JayMar says:

She won by just 60,000 votes. I worry about tight races, very easy to suddenly find ballots in people’s cars and in alphabetical order.

  14. Fred Stiening says:

It’s 10 AM – do you know where your President is? Hillary down to 32%

  15. JayMar says:

Fred where are you getting your percentages?

  16. Fred Stiening says:

Hillary at 27% – get your Trump champagne on ice🍾

  17. JayMar says:

It looks like the Senate will remain Republican, according to Fox but no explanations.

  18. JayMar says:

Do I trust Pravda to give me real numbers? She is at 21%. Time for some Glen
    Fiddich on the rocks

  19. JayMar says:

FL is going Trump, 99% reporting and Trump is up by 2%. NC Trump up by 3% with 70% reporting. The fat lady is beginning her aria.

  20. JayMar says:

    Eat that Kasich…OH Trump

  21. Fred Stiening says:

NC is 93% to go for Trump

McCrory is behind and Republicans are losing State House seats..🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈

  22. Parrott says:

Virginia ( NOVA) -> epic fail once again. I wish the we would have crushed her here in Rural Virginia like rural Florida is hammering clinky !

Oh yeah Dow futures down 500 points, reported on CBS. Going to punish us for not going establishment crook/NWO.
    punks

    Parrott

  23. Fred Stiening says:

    Hillary down to 14%

  24. JayMar says:

Both the House and Senate will continue in Republican control.

  25. Parrott says:

    Come on McCrory!

  26. Fred Stiening says:

Missouri called for Trump – not surprise, but it was in doubt. I guess the people in zferguson stayed home

  27. Fred Stiening says:

    Parrott didn’t vote enough times

  28. Fred Stiening says:

They’re holding back Ohio, Georgia, NC, and Florida decisions so people in California think they mattered. Polls close in CA in 22 minutes

  29. JayMar says:

PA is at 62% leaning towards Trump. I cannot find what is happening with Toomey vs. McGinty

  30. Fred Stiening says:

    Hillary at 11%…. “I’m shrinking…”

    • Parrott says:

LOL Yes she is ! And take that flying monkey ‘bon-jovi with her and Bill !
They are shittin in their Britches over on CBS. Scott pelley doesn’t know what to do
      Charlie and Nora are bitter.

Sheppard Smith on Fox is almost happy ! He asked AB Stoddard what state does Trump need now that he has Florida , Ohio and NC.
she said, either Michigan or Wisconsin and he may get both ! LOL
Unreal ! what am I going to do with all this food I ordered from Alex ?

      dow down 610
      we’re going to get spanked.
      parrott

  31. JayMar says:

McGinty leading by 5% not good.

  32. JayMar says:

I wonder what models the NYT is using

  33. Fred Stiening says:

What should I say to my cousin in Cambridge, Mass?

    • Fred Stiening says:

My cousin (about Jaymar’s age) says he knew since last week that Trump was going to win. He has friends at MIT who work on AI stuff. To the best of my knowledge, he has drawn a government paycheck all his working life. He seems unaware that corporations paying taxes are what fund government projects.

  34. JayMar says:

LOL Ask him if he is legal… or he is going home.

  35. Fred Stiening says:

    Ohio called for Trump

  36. JayMar says:

Hillary at 6%. This is really incredible.

  37. Fred Stiening says:

    Trump leading in Wisconsinis unexpected

  38. Fred Stiening says:

McMullen is only 20% in Utah. Put Mike Lee on suicide watch

  39. JayMar says:

Feingold just got kicked for the second time in Wisconsin

  40. Fred Stiening says:

2 minutes until they flip over all the cards

  41. Fred Stiening says:

    Hillary down to 4%

  42. JayMar says:

I wonder how long before Hillary accepts the truth. She might want to pull the usual Democrat trick recount, recount, recount until you win.

  43. JayMar says:

Hillary will indeed break the glass ceiling in the Javits when she starts screaming

  44. Fred Stiening says:

US stock futures are down 4%

Mexican peso probably in trouble 😉

  45. Fred Stiening says:

    Hillary won California – shocking!

  46. JayMar says:

I wonder if Hillary will be in fact prosecuted under President Trump. He said he would pursue it.

  47. Fred Stiening says:

    Hillary for Prison 2017

  48. Fred Stiening says:

I have Trump up 221 to 211, but that is without Georgia, NC and Florida

  49. JayMar says:

    I love artistic posters

  50. Fred Stiening says:

    NC called – 236-211

  51. JayMar says:

There is a clown in Fox News talking about “if Hillary wins tonight.” Denial is a horrible disease.

  52. Fred Stiening says:

Iowa finally went Red… VA and PA are probably lost cause – Michigan and Wisconsin are much in play

  53. Fred Stiening says:

It’s amusing to watch their headlines morph over time

  54. JayMar says:

Just as a Carter gave us a Reagan, history is repeating itself. My fear is that Trump is no Reagan.

  55. JayMar says:

    My artistic mind at play

  56. JayMar says:

Oh Sheriff Arpaio lost tonight. He is a good man. Sorry to see him go.

  57. Parrott says:

They want Hillary in Prison over on Infowars. They are starting to relax a bit .
    They are showing champaign bottles
    hold you horse’s people
    parrott

  58. Parrott says:

New Hampshire is slow on counting.

  59. Fred Stiening says:

    Virginia called for Hillary

    Trump 236 Hillary 224

(Georgia is already in my number)

  60. Fred Stiening says:

    Ny times called Florida

    Trump 265 – Hillary 224

  61. Fred Stiening says:

Saying that olo word gets you put in the moderation queue

  62. JayMar says:

In PA Clinton is not really way ahead of Trump I don’t know but this would be a miracle if it happens. I don’t think it will happen, however…

  63. Fred Stiening says:

Utah and Nevada and Alaska and Georgia are in the 265 number

Trump will get one from Maine that is not included

  64. JayMar says:

The pundits are dumbfounded. Some people in Hillary’s Glass Palace are crying.

  65. Fred Stiening says:

    Iowa and Wisconsin look solid

Iowa is in my total, Wisconsin (10) is not

  66. Fred Stiening says:

    Washington for Clinton, no surprise

  67. Fred Stiening says:

Arizona (11) is in my total, but closer than I like

  68. JayMar says:

Juan Williams the Hillary shill is besides himself. He might commit suicide tonight.

  69. Fred Stiening says:

    Colorado for hillary puff puff

    265-233

  70. JayMar says:

PA with 79% reporting Hillary is ahead by very little about 55,000

  71. Fred Stiening says:

    Mexican Peso down -13%

  72. Fred Stiening says:

Wisconsin’s 10 is currently in my Hillary total. It will finish the race…

However, Trump will not have a huge buffer for a last minute surprise

  73. JayMar says:

The NYT is projecting almost 300 electoral votes for Trump. I don’t quite see that, but I hope they are right.

  74. Fred Stiening says:

Utah called for Trump – doesn’t affect my numbers

  75. Fred Stiening says:

    It’s midnight. Hillary is drowsy

  76. Fred Stiening says:

Trump has 250,000 lead in Georgia with 90% counted. Trying to make it look closer than it is

  77. JayMar says:

Still people crying at Hillary’s Glass Palace. Some are leaving with their tails tucked in. This is lovely.

  78. Fred Stiening says:

New Hampshire + 1 from Maine = 270, even without Michigan, Wisconsin or Pennsylvania

  79. Fred Stiening says:

    Ooh, PA just turned pink

    • Parrott says:

      he wins PA its over.
I bet you ashtrays, lamps, umbrellas, glasses are flying areound Hil’s room
would not want to be there !

they are holding up the Dewey Wins newspaper on Inforwars Laughing, : )

I like Russia better than Iran. No war
      except BLM .
George soros spent two million dollars in AZ to get rid of Sheriff Joe. They are saying that Trump may put Joe in charge of ICE

  80. Fred Stiening says:

This is gonna cost me a ton of money, and I could not be happier

  81. JayMar says:

    48.3 to 48.2 TRUMP

  82. JayMar says:

Only Lebanon County left. I think that would probably be Hillary’s. Too Close to Philly.

  83. JayMar says:

PA is going to the closest, but looks as if Hillary will inch a bit. It will be a tenth of a percentage.

  84. Fred Stiening says:

Iowa is solid, Arizona looks OK, so no backsliding

  85. Parrott says:

Babs striesand and lady gaga must go to mexico or canada !
and the rest of those dum f’s alec baldwin, amy schuler go get !
they said they were ,, get ! don’t let the door hit you in the arse !
    Laughing really laughing

  86. JayMar says:

I suspect that this election of Trump will cause riots and unrest. I hope he extends his hands to heal the rift created by Obama. But let them come to my street. We’ve been ready for a very long time.

  87. Parrott says:

Drudge is calling for trump and alex did too

  88. JayMar says:

Toomey is ahead of McGinty by very little three tenths of 1% with 95% reporting

  89. Fred Stiening says:

I wonder if a few senators will flip to Dems and put schumer in charge

  90. Fred Stiening says:

Trump is +100,000 in Wisconsin – that nails it even if PA slips away

NY Times says 95+ chance for ztrump in Wisconsin. That’s all she wrote

  91. JayMar says:

in PA 48.2% a piece tied

  92. Fred Stiening says:

New Hampshire is a dead heat, but it was a toss up going in

  93. JayMar says:

I think Michigan will be for Trump. The only precincts left are rural and therefore Republicans. Yeah Michigan will put him at 270 even. I still don’t see the 305 the NYT is projecting.

  94. Fred Stiening says:

Trump lost Nevada – down to 259

  95. JayMar says:

Trump Leading in PA, NH, and MI at 12:44 AM

  96. JayMar says:

I cannot go to sleep until the final curtain

  97. Fred Stiening says:

The polls in Alaskan Russia close in 15 minutes – that’s 3, Arizona is 11

  98. JayMar says:

I am concerned about the real tight races. The recount, recount scares me

  99. Parrott says:

why does roger stone look like harry potter with glasses ?

  100. JayMar says:

Juan Williams is still rambling, although I think he went out and took a couple of shots to strengthen his resolve and calm down. He is still in lululand emotionally.

  101. JayMar says:

I think Megyn Kelly is going off the deep end now. Bringing back all the “horrible” groping by Trump.

  102. JayMar says:

Trump in Michigan 48-46. It’s happening.

  103. JayMar says:

    Trump in Wisconsin 49-45

  104. JayMar says:

The Javits Glass Palace that was to crown the queen is silent. People are leaving. They are trashy people, the amount of trash all over is amazing. Very somber place. That’s where the queen was to be immaculated. She is probably asleep. I hate to be the messenger of the bad news. But… Where is Huma Sandiego?

  105. Parrott says:

and he is going to win Pennsylvania, 20 electoral votes

    alex is slurring his words.
Scott Pelley keeps asking if there is another way for Big Hill to win over and over ,
    Laughing
    parrott

  106. Fred Stiening says:

Alaska vote is arriving – Trump should win easily
Wisconsin is a done deal, but they’re holding it back
Washtenaw County also has a large prison

They definitely play the peekaboo game in Michigan. washtenaw is sitting on about 100,000 Hillary votes, Kent County (Grand Rapids) is doing the same

  107. Parrott says:

hey did you see the crowd outside the white house?
wild kids, BLM, hillary supporters and Trumpsters. its going to break out. They were calling more Secret service in, it looked like chaos.
get out obo, we need to replace the drywall.
    parrott

  108. Fred Stiening says:

Maybe if everyone falls asleep, the outcome will change

  109. JayMar says:

oh will we have recounts. But I cannot go to sleep I have to see the final

  110. Fred Stiening says:

Ny Times has called PA for Trump. Time for parties!

    279-239

    Without Wisconsin or Michigan

  111. Parrott says:

yeah why aren’t they calling it ? somethings up.
PA just declared for trump by the NY times .
    parrott

  112. JayMar says:

    YEAH PA CAME THROUGH

  113. Fred Stiening says:

NC Governor race too close to call with 100% reporting

  114. haiti222 says:

Yeah look at the dynamic statistical tails on the NYT chart showing ¨closest states by default¨ The 95% confidence tail for Wisconsin has Trump up by 2 with the worst result. Arizona is the same, but has a huge tail going from +1 Trump to +9 Trump. As more votes come in, the tails will shrink. PA is currently about half the range of WI.

  115. Fred Stiening says:

Minnesota is still a possibility for Trump

  116. JayMar says:

Podesta is going to address his crowd at the Javits. But Hillary will not concede

  117. Fred Stiening says:

    280-238 (Maine)

  118. JayMar says:

Podesta dismissed the crowds and gave them hopes. He must be on drugs.

    • Parrott says:

I agree Jamar, what was up with that ?

Laughing Alex just said that Hillary is throwing a fit and cannot come out of her room. They have the pentagram on the floor so she is calling for help.
Big crowd at the white house.

stuff going on in the back ground

  119. JayMar says:

Yeah Fox asked her after the last debate and she refused to answer. All that ado about Trump saying he would not concede until he examines all. There was an outrage but THAT IS WHAT THEY HAVE DONE NOW. No concession speech.

  120. Fred Stiening says:

So if Hillary is asleep, would it stop Trump from claiming victory?

  121. JayMar says:

I bet you he is waiting for Michigan, at least.

  122. Fred Stiening says:

NY Times just added the 1 from Maine – already in my 280… AZ is 11, Alaska is 3

  123. Fred Stiening says:

    Analysis paralysis

  124. Fred Stiening says:

Nebraska has one vote in limbo – they are the other oddball state

  125. Parrott says:

man I am not going to be worth anything at work tomorrow.
    wifey crashed at 1 am
    this is killer.
    establishment is mad probably

  126. JayMar says:

I just went channel hopping through CBS, ABC, and NBC and they are in total denial. They really believe there is hope, that tomorrow will be a better day. Even talking about the favorite word among Democrats… RECOUNT. It might be sometimes tomorrow before Hillary says something but it will not be a concession.

    • TheChairman says:

Same goes for the columnists on the NYT election website page… seething opinion pieces already posted, followed by comments filled with (typical) invective about “uneducated hate-filled, racist, homophobic, Trump voters.”

Truly gratfying to see liberals choking on their own rhetoric and polling bias.

It seems those Bernie voters paid back Hillary and the DNC in spades! In several states, the margin of victory is the percentage voting for Johnson.

  127. Fred Stiening says:

I bet the media thinks whoever calls it first gets a bullet from the Clinton Death Squad

Trump is up 75,000 in Wisconsin with 99% counted

  128. JayMar says:

MSNBC is still saying that Hillary has a chance if she wins PA, MI, and WI and “the odds are good.” I couldn’t help but laugh.

  129. Fred Stiening says:

La la la… washtenaw conty MI took the ballots home for the night apparently

  130. JayMar says:

    IT’S OFFICIAL. PRESIDENT-ELECT DONALD TRUMP

  131. JayMar says:

    Pence is talking…

  132. TheChairman says:

Democrats forced to take the ‘red pill’ tonight… prepare for a mass meltdown.

  133. haiti222 says:

Thanks for having this site and the insightful things everyone here says, especially to you Fred……….

  134. JayMar says:

Trump is talking. He says Hillary called him to congratulate him.

  135. Fred Stiening says:

Ok, so Trump didn’t quit, and Americans didn’t get scared of being called bad names or scary clown attacks.

I concede I underestimated my countrymen. Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of the United States

  136. JayMar says:

He has already said 23 “unbelievables!” and 17 “tremendouses.” I am going to bed. Good night guys. Thanks, Fred for this site. I enjoy our comments tonight. Let’s hope that tomorrow morning wont be like the morning after election day 2000.

  137. Fred Stiening says:

    290-228
(Giving Trump Arizona – NH and MN to Hillary)

  138. Parrott says:

    Whew !

    thanks fred,

    parrott out,

  139. Fred Stiening says:

Why were there 9 Republicans running for US Senate in Louisiana?

  140. Fred Stiening says:

So McCrory may have lost, but Repblicans have veto proof majorities in the legislature. If they stay unified, they can steamroll legislation right over Cooper

    • Parrott says:

      >”So McCrory may have lost:<
Man that is such BS ! They don't know how good of a Gov. the have, until you get a carpetbagger like McAweful !.
Big list of fools better be packing thier bags to get the hell out of the US this morning. Thats you whoopie Goldberg ! GTFO ! and take that little sh!t Bon-jovi with you !
      Laughing my butt off ,
      parrott

      • Fred Stiening says:

NC again elected a Democrat as Attorney General

On a certain level, I’m happy for McCrory. He’s not cutthroat enough to play the game. I could see him in Trump’s cabinet – maybe Secretary of Energy, since he worked for Duke Power much of his life

  141. JayMar says:

You mean this was not a dream???????

    • Fred Stiening says:

I guess that depends on your perspective. Trump won Arizon, but everyone is asleep. Michigan, Minnesota and NH are probably going to Clinton

The NY Times shows Trump with 3 electoral votes in Michigan, which I don’t understand

  142. Fred Stiening says:

Hillary was just given Minnesota – Easy call. Michigan and New Hampshire will probably stay open for days. When they give Arizona to Trump, he will have 289 – probably the final total

  143. Fred Stiening says:

Votes finally all reported from Washtenaw – Trump up by 12,000 – not enough precincts left in Wayne County to change the outcome, although a recount is inevitable

  144. Fred Stiening says:

The irony is if the Democrats had run anyone other than Hillary, they would have won in a landslide. You makes your choices, you live with the consequences

  145. Fred Stiening says:

100% in for Michigan – trump ahead by 13,000. At this point, it is just for the history books

    • TheChairman says:

IMO, Michigan is the “coup de grâce” of this election.

      • Fred Stiening says:

Have you ever gone smelt fishing?

        • TheChairman says:

          Nope. Why do you ask?

          • Fred Stiening says:

It’s a big thing to do up there in the spring. I see now the DNR restricts people due to overfishing. There used to be too many to catch and people would fill their freezers with ’em. Nothing a good wife or equivalent enjoys more than cleaning a big haul of smelt for her man 🚣🐟

            • TheChairman says:

LOL… yeah, lots of fishing up here. I know DNR imposed a limit, but we also have zebra mussel problems and DNR has placed lamprey eel traps on some rivers.

            • Fred Stiening says:

Just wait until the Asian carp arrive. I hope they eat zebra mussels. Then we can import cane toads to get rid of the carp

      • Fred Stiening says:

My uncle (the father of my cousin in Cambridge MA) was a snowbird when I was a child. They lived in Pittsburgh, then they packed up around Thanksgiving to drive the Cadillac to Saint Petersburg FL and arranged it so that they spent one more day in Florida than in Pennsylvania to keep Florida as their legal and tax residence.

It apparently was a big social event – the same people made the same trip every year and would arrange to meet for dinner, etc. I’m going to guess driving is now replaced with hopping on Southwest for a couple hours.

        • TheChairman says:

Some people fly, but most drive… there’s an exodous of 5th wheels, vans, and motorhomes in the spring & fall.

We drive our ‘rig’… which is a Ford truck pulling a vintage 1970 Airstream (which I’ve been restoring). No exposure to bed bugs or other hotel room biohazards.

Part of the reason we drive is because we both work, and need to bring 4 computers, equipment, tools, etc. We store a car at both ends for daily use and errands, and the truck serves as a second vehicle if needed.

          • Fred Stiening says:

You’re in for the entire experience, I see. I figured driving to Arizona was more than a lot of people would want to do.

I was spending time yesterday watching YouTube videos on how to park 18 wheelers in truck stops. I missed my calling, but my bad eyesight made that not an option.

            • CC1s121LrBGT says:

That profession is headed the way of canal barge operators. Maybe you will be able to sit in the front and smoke pot and watch the driverless truck roll down the highway as you stream the Dead’s classic “Truckin'”.

The old 70s have left the building. The new 70s on the horizon will be our ages.

            • Fred Stiening says:

The government should encourage private companies to build roads without passenger cars and few if any intersections, and pave them with a durable surface not damaged by heavy trucks, and then run big long trains of trucks with only 1 or two drivers under computer speed control and collision avoidance.

Oh hold on, I just described railroads using containerized freight.

            • TheChairman says:

It’s an experience alright. 😉 Our setup is a ‘compact’ compared to most. Over 50% of the people in our ‘snowbird community’ are from Michigan and most of them make the drive.

The size and length of some 5th wheels and motorhomes is disconcerting, and I think there needs to be a revised CDL requirement for those owner/drivers.

We usually try to roll with the truckers and truckstops for relative safety and convenience (fresh coffee, parking, fuel).

  146. Fred Stiening says:

Pat McCrory has focused his attention on Durham County, where he believes he lost the election. He lost the election because of rich white people in Northern Mecklenburg County.

Durham county’s turnout was not out of line with other parts of the state. They had significant problems on Election Day with the breakdown of the checkin system and voting was extended an extra hour. McCrory is behind by about 5,000 votes, but provisional ballots have not been counted yet. That won’t be complete for another week.

      • Fred Stiening says:

My guess is provisional ballots will swing Democratic. Military ballots may drift in, but I doubt that will make up 5000 votes. Durham County has roughly the same racial breakdown as the city of Charlotte, except fewer Asians. Durham County went 71% for Hillary, which is about 5% more than Mecklenburg County. Since entry of the numbers was done manually, anything is possible.

The other problem that is less visible is the Democrats got control of the NC Supreme Court
