At 7:40, John telegraphs that he is going to “get difficult” with Professor Waldron – this is behavior Batchelor does rarely when he has concluded his guest has gone off the deep end. In response to pressure from John about what would happen if Trump convinces Xi to act against North Korea, professor Waldron offers up the belief that North Korea has the ability to nuke Beijing and would do so.

It must be nice having a tenured government funded job working in the Ivory Towers of Academia

    I say – piffle. Kim Jong Un would nuke Beijing and the Party Apparatus would then turn his city into a glass desert. Un is a madman, but I suspect he isn’t that far gone.
