In the likely case you don’t know who this is, he lives in Chicago, used to be a waiter, has asthma and plays in a band.

I cut my own hair with a nose-hair trimmer, so I nose it looks good. Doh!

WOW! There’s 3:17 minutes of my life pi$$ed away for no good reason. 🙂

While he was probably exaggerating a bit, I don’t think by much. He’s one of the more influential personalities on YouTube. Perhaps you assumed he is just some random guy.

He’s a symbol of what radio is up against. He views radio as “that thing in a car you use to listen to music”. I’m not positive, but I don’t think he even owns a car – I believe he lives on the North Side, where having a car is a serious liability due to parking shortages.

Chicago is odd in that non-music AM stations still are influential – WGN, WLS, and WBBM still pull very good ratings. Merlin Radio started an all news radio station on FM (paying around $40 million for it), with the hope of reaching this type of person. The project appears to be in serious trouble.

      Did that help?

Yes, and a very dense one at that.

WLS was good in Virginia after midnight way back when they played good music. There was another Chicago radio station I could listen too late. I can’t remember the call sign though.
No “Delilah” back then, I tell you that !
