33 year old Nordine Amrani opened up on a crowd waiting at a bus depot in Liege Belgium. He had served time in prison on drug charges. The gun used was a Belgium made automatic rifle capable of firing at 700 rounds per minute.
He was well known to police for his gun collection, and had 2,800 cannibus (Marijuana) plants growing at his home. He was on his way to a meeting to be questioned by police. At the end of the shooting, he put a handgun to his head and killed himself.
The Telegraph points out (accurately) that this has received little attention in the United States.
Belgium officials have declared this was not a terrorist attack.
