Michael Savage has been granted his freedom by TRN – so he isn’t being held him prisoner forced to talk to you.
Jerry Doyle has agreed to move to Savage’s old time slot from 6-9PM Eastern. TRN has not yet announced who will replace Jerry from 3-6 PM ET.
If you’re looking for Michael Savage, try his web site. I don’t remember the URL though.
LOL. I enjoy listening to Savage (long with many other shows). I do enjoy your droll wit though 😉
I was a troll in a prior life.
Ha!
Savages web site:

His website may change very soon now.
“Looking for Michael Savage?”
Nope.

I like how your website has all the updated Jerry Doyle streams/stations and Tune-In does not!
WOR has stopped running old Savage shows and is airing (and promoting) Jerry Doyle. It appears they are continuing their alternative streaming programming in the timeslot.
Michael Savage now sells access to his new internet show for $4.95.

Once people start paying you money, their expectations change. If he does an hour or two only when he feels like it, people will lose interest. He’ll have to pay his own guest hosts. If he plays any oldies music, he’s going to get a letter from SoundExchange demanding performance royalties.
Tom Leykis had 3 hours to learn the ropes and practice and hire a staff. Well, good luck, but I won’t be listening unless he gives a free preview

Geoff Metcalf is filling in for the rest of the week. He claims to have years of syndicated radio experience, but I’ve never heard of him.
He was in KSFO back in the ABC days, and his national syndication was on GCN, which is carried on maybe 3 stations
Salem Radio has dumped TRN and replacing Savage with reruns of their own shows
I like Savage but don’t want to pay to listen. To bad, he will be gone into radio ether like so many before him Jeff Rentz, Wesley Striber, Tom Leykis and the likes. I can only wish and hope that he be back on terrestrial again someday.
Because he wanted desperately out of his contract, I believe he has deliberately doing bad shows, taking absences for no reason other than not wanting to work… It’s going to be a really hard sell – he needed to do like 30 days free to prove a podcast has any value.
Maybe two years ago, he announced a format change, that certain days he would have certain themes – one night would be money problems, another would be relationship issues (or something close to that). There was no follow through. After a few days, the idea vanished. Given the impulsiveness of the whole idea, I give it maybe two weeks. TRN has already refunded the unused money from their streaming service and shut it down.
Savage was OK. Too predictable and too moody for me to listen to on a regular basis, but he does have solid, although periodical insight.
