If you don’t know who Todd Schnitt is, don’t feel bad. He is better known as “MJ in the morning” in Tampa Florida on WFLZ-FM (the morning show ended a year ago). Todd briefly made news when he did a “radio bit” putting on a “demonstration” of the fire danger from deep frying a turkey – by causing a real fire (without telling the fire department ahead of time). Criminal charges were considered by the state attorney general’s office, but in the end, no charges were filed.

So “conservative” syndicated talk show Todd Schnitt (MJ’s real persona) is going to clog up the court system with a three week trial because “Bubba the Love Sponge”, a locàl morning show competitor, call Todd’s wife “a whore” on the air and behaved like a “bully”. His wife is a lawyer, who at the time worked in the state attorney general office.

So we now are going to have competing morning radio talk show hosts putting on a three week TV show in a court room with a judge and jury deciding whether or not Todd’s wife enjoys sex too much. Cox radio (the owner of Bubba’s radio station) has already settled with Todd to get out of paying a lawyer for three weeks.
Todd’s wife is a lawyer? Technically that’s more like being a prostitute instead of “a whore”. Oops, hope my comment doesn’t land, Fred in any trouble. I remember listening to Todd a few times, 3-4 times, in the afternoons. I thought his show was titled, “The Schnitt Show”. I would have remembered if it was called, “MJ in the Morning”.
Bubba the Love Sponge Clem, was charged with animal cruelty back in 2001 and acquitted in 2002. The article stated, “He was also suspended by the station and later fired by Clear Channel after a record $755,000 fine from the Federal Communications Commission for broadcasting skits in which cartoon characters talked about sex and drugs.” With a handle like “Bubba the Love Sponge Clem” the guy apparently has serious issues that have not been resolved.

I am from the tampa market, listen to both bubba on the bone which just recently switched from classic rock to all talk… and schnitt. He had the MJ morning show on 93.3 wflz a top 40 station… Bubba called schnitts wife a whore and it pissed him off…
I don’t know if it was a publicity stunt but schnitt is going to be out 2 million to pay bubba’s lawyers fees which is pretty real money.

A few months ago, Hulk Hogan sued Bubba after a video showed up of Hulk allegedly having sex with Bubba’s (ex) wife in Bubba’s house with his knowledge and consent (but not clear if Hulk knew it was being taped or who leaked the video). Bubba went on Howard Stern’s show to discuss it, and the suit was “settled” shortly thereafter..
