J D Hayworth says “Mexicans love sports too!”

The former house member and candidate for US Senator has a new job. He has exported his job to Mexico and giving up political talk.

His new job is co-hosting a sports talk show on sports talk XEPRS-AM. X as the first letter tells you the station is licensed in Mexico and not under the jurisdiction of the FCC. It’s right across the border from San Diego.

I wonder if he will be covering the bull fights over in Tijuana…

Damn that Rush Limbaugh!

I remember living in Phoenix when J.D. was still a news caster and he was pretty good actually but when his talk radio and political career started he bit off more than he could chew. It’s good seeing him going into something else now and getting back to his roots. I am sure he got tired sitting at home counting all his money and wants to be relevant again.

Sorry… He was not a good talk show host! He was a better Rep.!

You said it, Linda. Despite the few, minor flaws J.D. may have (don’t we all?) he was a much better and far more honest man the John ‘da Collaborator’ McCain. And, to think Beck actually threw J.D. under the bus in that election.

  3. I enjoy JD when he fills in for various talkers from time to time. Guess he won’t be doing that as long as this sports gig lasts.

I really wish he hadn’t done those TV spots for government grant info — the ones where you pay somebody for the same stuff you can look up for free in the library. Without that baggage, he might have been able to ride the tea party wave in 2010 and knock off the painfully annoying John McCain in the Arizona U.S. Senate primary.
