Perhaps they will need to take a bus until that train service is resumed. I see an opportunity for bus stop vendors to grease some more Washington palms. What? You want four walls or a toilet at that bus stop? Either of those options might have quadrupled the price here … nobody going to prison for this theft.

Did you say Everett train mudslide?

You’ll be glad to know that $17 million in federal money will now be spent to stabilize the ground there to protect Warren Buffett’s railroad. Who ever said fascism can’t be profitable?
It’s not a coincidence that the mudslides happen when a train is going by.
If you’re hearing noise of an imminent mudslide, why dial 911 when you can make a YouTube video?
Back in the 1960s in Pittsburgh, there was a big mudslide that blocked the road going to Kennywood Park, the local “trolley park” built by Carnegie, who also owned the trolley system that took his workers to the gates of his steel factories. Since Pittsburgh was heavily polluted at the time, that’s pretty conclusive proof. Since the steel mills were disassembled and moved to Asia, the landslide hasn’t happened again.
What another coincidence for that guy that can predict the future. He happened to buy that train route for getting oil from North Dakota to the Gulf coast long before anyone anyone else could have envisioned that his support of the Obama administration could have paid off that way.

I like how they mention global warming offhandedly. Too wet, might be global warming. Too dry, might be global warming. No snow, global warming. Too much snow, you guessed it. Causes tornados, hurricanes and earthquakes too.
Maybe the Chicago Cubs can blame their championship drought on global warming too? Since they haven’t won the World Series since 1908, the burning of fossil fuels must be the culprit!
Once we are all driving Chevy Volts the Cubs will be the kings of baseball!
Not a chance. The Cubbies would be “foyled” again. 😉
I would say there is a good chance I might go to Wrigley some time this year. My pal suggested last fall we go to a game but we got too busy with me moving here and learning stuff
Well, you seem to be learning a lot….or at the least, you seem to be expressing your convictions………
