Dang! POTUS better keep a lower profile plus stay outta Dallas based on the idea that cops are going around shooting mentally ill folks now-a-days.

  2. Nidster says:

Dallas, TX: where a public gathering in a public place to observe and talk about public history, is extremist to the nth degree, and requires a complete background investigation by an unnamed authority in order to obtain a ticket to attend the 50th anniversary of the murder of President John F. Kennedy at Dealey Plaza in Dallas.

Well, thank goodness for small things!!! I guess POTUS won’t be attending if there is to be a complete background investigation of all attendees.

YouTube has blocked access to the video.

You’ll be glad to know that the assault charges against the man they shot have been dropped. He had the nerve to attack the bullet they fired.

From a distance of about 20 feet with the man standing still, the officer fired 4 times, but only hit him once.

If you see video of Mom, it’s not hard to see where his mental illness came from.

  5. Nidster says:

Should we all not feel so proud of the current regime to know that a person, crazy or not, but who is standing still can be charged with aggravated assault on a public servant?

He probably called them a name.

A little legalism from my brief legal studies – assault is making a threat, battery is the physical contact

Assault is an intentional threat of bodily harm with the apparent capability to cause them harm, and actual fear by the victim that they may be hurt. Clearly, the officers were the aggressors in this situation.

Aggravated assault is one step further – that the person is using a weapon and made an attempt to murder the other party. A pocket knife (if he had one) hardly matches that description. Taunting the police doesn’t count.
