I need help sorting this out…
I’m working through trying to get the Low Power FM radio stations sorted out since they are about to increase in number once the FCC paper backlog clears.
I’ve noticed in the past that the largest content provider / licensees are related to the Seventh Day Adventist church. What I find looking closer are the same LPFM stations listed under two different networks.
Lifetalk radio is based out of Simi Valley California and is directly an operation of the North American Adventist Church. 3ABN (three angels broadcasting network) is based in rural Illinois and says it is non denominational but “many” of the employees are Adventists.
I have vague memories of the FCC reprimanding Lifetalk – that by law, LPFM stations must be locally owned and operated with some original programming – not operating as FM Satellite translators
The two networks have entirely different programming. It might be that the stations pick and choose programs from the two networks which could explain why stations are listed on both.
Anyone know what’s going on?
I know Dr. Robert V. Gentry, a nuclear physicist who generated a firestorm of controversy after some peer reviewed articles of his work were published regarding his extensive research about radiohalos. So, long story short, once others realized Gentry had accomplished some noteworthy research that made it into ‘peer reviewed journals’, which contradicted long standing scientific dogma then, as they say, “All Hell broke loose.” They are still out to discredit him of course. I have knowledge of and have examined some of his evidence firsthand. While I do not agree with all of his conclusions, speculations and so forth about the age of the Earth, I do see that he has presented fellow physicist and other scientist with a problem they can only sweep under the rug, set aside, ignore, provide alternative research, or to otherwise go around the facts in their attempt to destroy the messenger, but they have not actually refuted his work, since it is irrefutable. Now, irrefutable evidence does need to be handled very carefully lest anyone jump to wrong conclusions, but of course that happens ever day in science. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_V._Gentry
Oh, by the way, Dr. Gentry is a Seventh Day Adventist and when I asked him regarding your question about what’s going on with 3ABN, he, like us, had no idea. Sorry.
Who peer reviews the peer reviewers?
Whomever appears.
Who is on first base?
Why?
