Are you ready for a Hindu on the Supreme Court?

Religion News

(Asian) Indians are becoming increasingly important to the Republican Party. One of the two Republicans on the FCC is a Hindu child of immigrants. Governor of South Carolina Nikki Haley is as well. Bobby Jindal was Governor of Louisiana until a month ago when term limits ended his governorship.

Sri Srinivasan was born in India in 1967 with full natural Indian citizenship. His parents moved to the United States shortly thereafter and he acquired naturalized citizenship. He clearly fails the test to be President in the future.

Sri Srinivasan clerked for Sandra Day O’Connor, a Republican appointee. He has argued cases in front of the US Supreme Court, including opposing the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA)

The Wall Street Journal and many others expect him to be nominated. If the Senate refuses to vote or rejects his nomination because he isn’t “Judeo Cristian”, the damage to the Republican Party and relations with India could be immense, possibly diving India back further into the Russian coalition. The Bhagavad-Gitaa – the holy book of the Hindu religion – is believed to be over 5000 years old, thousands of years older than the Bible.

Time to listen to Mark Levin explain his way out of this. Well played President Obama. Oy Vey indeed.

Damage to the Republican Party? Too late, I fear. The damage to it as well as the damage to America is far beyond simple recovery. Go for it, Obama, make it a gay or lesbian Hindu who has had an amputation or some mobility issue. When he/she/it is not confirmed, you can cry foul at the heartless bastards in the Republican Party to your hearts content.

We seriously need another Scalia on the Court. There are so few on the planet. I say Hurrah for the Heartless 🙂

Kamala Harris is the other name being floated. She is the Attorney General of California, black woman graduate who went to Howard University. She is running for the US Senate to replace Barber Boxer. She recently has made an amazing transformation from black woman to white woman, at least in her publicity photos.

All the hints point at Sri. Scalia will be on display until Saturday. I would expect Obama to wait until Monday out of decency, but you never know.

Sources say Merrick Garland will be the nominee. If confirmed, that would leave the religious diversity of the Supreme Court at 5 Catholics, 4 Jewish people and zero Protestants.

Great. Why cant we get a good Baptist or Methodist ? I would even like to see a good Presbyterian on the court. Heck that’s what most people are here in the U.S.
Instead another , rich pampered liberal untouched by the real world, that hates Americans and their second amendment rights.
You saw who was seated on the front row in the announcement ceremony? Ole ‘call me senator Boxer from San Francisco, don’t call me Ma’am, General. You see who is yanking the chain there ! Grrrrrrr
Stick a fork in us, McConnell will roll over.

Ponder that for quite some time, there were six Catholics on the Court, yet they never did more than work the edges of Roe v. Wade. People who are choosing Presidents based on their belief that a President can reverse abortion are taking the bait. That horse left the barn decades ago.
