A few details about the killer in Norway are starting to come out
The London Telegraph and NY times have already concluded based on no hard information that Anders Behring Breivik is a “right wing extremist – apparently not learning from their experience with jumping to conclusions about Jared Loughner.
Mr Breivik is 32 years old, not married and lives with his mother. A week ago, he set up a Facebook page and Twitter account. He apparently spends a lot of time playing World of Warcraft and Modern Warfare 2.
Oddly for a “right wing extremist”, his one tweet on twitter was a quote from John Stuart Mill, a British economist and philosopher from the 19th century who was a feminist and believed the rich needed to have their wealth redistributed by a stiff estate tax (which oddly is one of Engels’ principles of communism). Anders enjoys trance music if his Facebook profile is to be believed Trance music suggests to me recreational drug use.
The death count is at 91 – reports are he cooperating with police and explaining what he did and why.
My hunch was correct – he did serve in the military. You don’t learn how to kill 80 people one at a time single handed by playing video games. An important clue will be if he selected specific types of people or if it was random.
Apparently, in Norway, if you click on “Christian” in your Facebook profile, that makes you “anti-Muslim” and you choose “Conservative” as your political leanings, that makes you a “right wing extremist”. Keep in mind, he set up this profile after he decided to do this attack, so it may all just be deliberate misinformation
He was on the island for an hour and a half shooting. It took police 40 minutes to respond – there is no bridge to the island (how did he get in the island?)
The Prime Minister was going to speak to this group of young future labour activists that day – there was no security team on the island? Or were they there but unarmed so they didn’t scare the children?

Anders is 32, has no job, lives with his mother, no income for the last 3 years – but all of a sudden has the money to buy a farm, 6 tonnes of fertilizer and has the training or resources to build, place and detonate a successful fertilizer bomb and shoot 85 people…
